RAND Europe has offices in Cambridge, Brussels and The Hague and employs approximately 190 staff.We are looking for a talented administrator to work within the Programme Support Office to provide a range of administrative support working alongside colleagues on a large number of concurrent research projects managed by the RAND Europe research teams.This role will be based at our Cambridge office with the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week, ensuring team office presence 2 days a week. Requirements Supports PSO/PMO in overseeing full lifecycle of Proposals and Projects. Supports research proposal teams and PSO/PMO colleagues with administrative requirements. Sets up proposals and projects within IT system. Supports PSO/PMO in tracking and management of risks and issues. Supports Progamme Support Office Officer (PSOO) in reviewing and obtaining approval of proposal and project budgets. Supports PSO/PMO in creation and maintenance of accurate project plans. Supports PSOO in maintaining Contract Management and project budgets within IT system. Oversees full Rate Requests and Intercompany Work Authorisations lifecycle. Assists Programme Support Office Manager with registering and maintaining external Associates within IT system. Maintains information on overarching framework contracts. Supports PSOO in tracking and reporting against project progress, including milestones, budget and resource using established logs and registers. Supports PSOO with Maintaining regulatory documents for CIC, AISBL & NL entities. Maintains and updates internal PSO process documentation. Maintains project related documentation. Maintains client and supplier data. Assist with supporting maintenance of ISO 9001 certification in conjunction with the internal ISO team. Assists with the management of the Individual Portfolio Report and supports the promotion processes. Supports the Publications Report and pipeline activities. Supports Conflict of Interest (COI) checks and maintenance of related reports. Assists with keeping PSO/PMO team Intranet page up to date. Compliance with all IMS policies. Ad hoc duties as required.  *Please note the PMO is known as the Programme Support Office (PSO) at RAND Europe. Requirements Business administration support, in a project management environment. (Data Entry, document management, form completion) Ability to coordinate document management processes and reporting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint. MS Project. The Science and Emerging Technology team comprises 30 researchers spanning research topics including research on research and emerging technology policy. This is an exciting opportunity working with the one of the world’s most respected public policy research organisations.  It is ideally suited to a flexible and ambitious individual who is used to leading evaluations and who wishes to make a real impact on policy, working alongside a very talented team in a collegiate environment.We are looking for a Research Leader to help lead work in our R&I workstream. Areas of focus include research assessment, research culture, funding policy, and evaluation of R&I investments. For example, we are providing the technical support function for the UK Metascience Unit, and we are delivering a wide range of evaluation of R&I investments for UKRI and the European Commission. We have projects on topics spanning peer review, research misconduct, the use of AI in R&I, and international collaboration in science. We are looking for an individual with a track record of leading work of this type in the UK and/or at the EU level, with a proven ability to write proposals and win work as well as provide thought leadership in this space. The role holder will also be accountable for working with senior colleagues in supporting and motivating the SET research group on a day-to-day basis, leading or managing groups of talented researchers, and publicising our work through a range of communications and outreach activities.
