All civil engineering projects require ground engineering which means that ground engineers have the unique opportunity to play a vital role on a variety of different projects. Some examples of these projects include tunnels, bridges, highways, railways, dams, airports and dealing with natural hazards such as landslides and earthquakes.Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on world-class projects as part of our Tunnelling and Ground Engineering team. You will be supported in learning new skills using specialist software, learning design principles and standards and assisting in delivering – and adding value to – our projects. You will gain experience working on multi-disciplinary projects undertaking geotechnical designs and calculations, producing technical drawings and supporting construction and ground investigation site work.You will be assigned a dedicated mentor to guide you and oversee your development. You will be supported to achieve a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BEng), and professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) as part of this civil engineering degree apprenticeship.
