Working closely with the Shift Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day supervision of warehouse operations, overseeing both inbound and outbound activities to ensure service levels, productivity and safety standards are consistently achieved. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills and a hands-on leadership approach in a fast-paced operational environment. Pay, benefits and more: • Salary up to £30,000 per annum.
• Shift pattern: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm.

• A supportive environment within a leading global logistics business. What you’ll do on a typical day: • Supervising warehouse operations across inbound and outbound activities, as required by operational demand.
• Ensuring health & safety standards and safe systems of work are followed at all times.
• Allocating labour effectively to meet workload, service and productivity requirements.
• Supervising inbound activities including goods receipt, checking, putaway and stock accuracy.
• Supervising outbound activities including picking, packing, consolidation and despatch.
• Monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs and supporting delivery of daily targets.
• Supporting efficient labour use and cost control to minimise waste and unnecessary spend.
• Challenging unsafe behaviour and poor standards, escalating issues where required.
• Supporting training, coaching and induction of warehouse operatives.
• Acting as a first point of contact for operational issues during the shift. What you need to succeed at XPO: • Previous warehouse supervisory or senior operative experience.
• A strong understanding of warehouse health & safety requirements.
• Experience supervising both inbound and outbound warehouse activities.
• Experience working to SLAs, KPIs and productivity targets.
• Awareness of labour efficiency and cost control.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Automotive logistics experience is desirable.
