TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large, well-established nursery in
Coventry with over 100 children on roll. The nursery provides a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn, develop, and thrive through play-based learning.
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join the dedicated Early Years team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and education while supporting children's learning and development during their early years.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (essential).
At least 6 months' experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or Early Years setting.
A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, nurturing, and positive approach.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Experience planning engaging activities that promote learning through play.
A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing in line with the EYFS Framework.
Deliver engaging play-based activities that promote all areas of learning.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress where required.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.
Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
Encourage children's independence, confidence, and curiosity.
Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met.
Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to provide outstanding childcare.
Compliance Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
A minimum Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification (essential).
At least 6 months' experience working with children.
Two professional references from recent employers.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through TeacherActive.
