    Aspire People are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shrewsbury for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and adaptable TA who is confident supporting pupils across Years 1 and 2 and can provide cover across multiple classes when needed.

    The Role

    As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

    Support teaching and learning across all KS1 classes (Reception/Y1/Y2 where needed)

    Be willing to cover different classes as required

    Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to support learning

    Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN

    Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and organisation

    Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning

    Work closely with teachers and senior leadership

    This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys working with younger primary pupils and thrives in a flexible environment.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who:

    Has recent experience working within Key Stage 1

    Is confident supporting across multiple KS1 year groups

    Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

    Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills

    Is proactive, reliable, and adaptable

    Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

    Qualifications are desirable but not essential.
    We will consider candidates without formal qualifications if they have relevant and recent experience within KS1.
