Role Purpose:

    To carry out high quality inspections ensuring various lifting equipment (MEWPS, HIAB, Cranes, FLT’s) is compliant with current regulatory and statutory requirements under LOLER & PUWER. To operate within agreed authorities, inspection and H&S standards with a clear customer focus and drive to achieve optimal service delivery.

    To produce and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas’s best in class tools for on-site reporting and immediate client access to keep abreast of changes in relevant standards and legislation, acting as an advisor to high-profile clients and to deliver customer excellence, operating in the professional, friendly, and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing Bureau Veritas surveyors.
    What does it take to apply?

    As you would expect from a globally trusted inspection provider, Bureau Veritas holds several accreditations and complies with regulations including UKAS accreditation, SAFed membership and SAFed Standard SS01 compliance.
    Candidate requirements for Mechanical Inspection roles are: • Minimum NVQ4, HNC, HND or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification 
    • LEEA qualifications are unfortunately not applicable on their own, but they are preferred alongside a relevant mechanically biased engineering qualification
    • Minimum three years post qualification experience working with relevant discipline specific equipment

    About the Role:  We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing FM & Asset Verification team in the UK. In this critical client-facing role, you will produce accurate, competitive, and tailored cost estimates across a range of Facilities Management (FM) and technical service requirements. This is ahome-based position, with travel to client sites as needed. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to develop robust pricing models that support multi-service opportunities and help drive growth across our business portfolios. Main Duties and Responsibilities:  Conduct site surveys and high-level technical assessments to collect accurate data for estimating. Work directly with clients and internal teams to develop detailed, customer-specific pricing solutions. Support the development and expansion of FM & Asset Verification service lines by identifying new opportunities within existing and new client portfolios. Interpret and extract technical information from HVAC documentation, specifications, and asset registers to produce cost estimates for multiple business units. Apply SFG20 maintenance standards to build compliant PPM pricing schedules and cost models. Work collaboratively with Asset Integrity Surveyors to cleanse data and support client project requirements, using ASSET CALC asset collection software. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver multi-service proposals and enhance client orate with FM operations, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure estimates align with delivery with internal and external suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and technical information. Prepare tender documentation, including detailed cost breakdowns, using financial tools and Excel. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FM/HVAC technologies, SFG20 updates, and market trends. Contribute to bid submissions and participate in client presentations when required. What are we looking for: Proven background in Facilities Management or Building Services. Strong knowledge and practical experience using FM standards, including SFG20. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, asset registers, and maintenance schedules. Competent user of estimating software and Microsoft ent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
