Access to Research in Practice membership and Institute of Leadership and Management resources As the Adult Mental Health Social Worker, you will: Provide a duty/front door service offering signposting, advice, screening, and risk assessments
Conduct Care Act assessments and develop strength-based support plans to promote independence
Manage complex cases and complete initial care reviews
Lead on safeguarding adults statutory duties, including Section 42 enquiries
Collaborate with health services, housing teams, voluntary sector organisations, and other key partners
Carry out carers’ assessments and build strong relationships with families and caregivers
Facilitate mental capacity assessments, best interest meetings, and Court of Protection applications
Prepare social circumstances reports and attend tribunals to advocate for individuals Essential requirements of this Adult Mental Health Social Worker role: Registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England
At least one year of post-ASYE experience in a statutory setting
Strong knowledge of legal frameworks including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act
