Responsibilities may include: Managing worker attendance and check-in Allocating duties and coordinating workloads Conducting pre-shift briefings Managing worker breaks and shift coverage Monitoring productivity and operational performance Ensuring workers follow site procedures Monitoring health, safety and security compliance Reporting absences, incidents and performance concerns Coordinating replacement workers Communicating with client management Producing daily attendance and performance updates Supporting training, inductions and competency records Ramp supervisors may additionally be responsible for: Coordinating aircraft-unloading teams Confirming workers are cleared and trained Ensuring GSE operators are authorised Monitoring safe working around aircraft Managing pallets, ULDs, dollies and cargo movements Responding to operational or flight delays Reporting equipment defects, incidents and cargo damage Applicants should have: Previous supervisory or team-lead experience Experience managing warehouse, cargo, logistics, ramp or ground-handling teams Strong communication and organisational skills Good understanding of health and safety Experience managing attendance and performance Reliable transport to East Midlands Airport Flexibility for early, late and weekend shifts The unrestricted right to work in the UK The ability to complete required security checks Previous airport experience is strongly preferred for ramp-supervisor positions.
