Key responsibilities Receiving supplier deliveries and checking stock against delivery notes and expiry dates Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for daily dispatch Using appropriate packaging for product size and weight Maintaining accurate stock records using the warehouse system Correct storage and safe handling of goods to prevent damage Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with Health and Safety standards Completing daily checks and warehouse documentation Liaising with customer service teams and couriers regarding orders and collections Driving a company van for local deliveries when required Carrying out additional duties as reasonably requested by management What we are looking for Previous warehouse experience or a vocational qualification in warehousing and storage A reliable, consistent and proactive approach to work Good understanding of manual handling and Health and Safety procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Basic IT skills, experience using warehouse systems is desirable Forklift experience is an advantage, particularly narrow aisle trucks The client operates two Bendi narrow aisle forklifts and is happy to invest in training for the right candidate who already has some forklift experience. A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
