    The Role
    Reporting to the Site Lead, the Stores Technician will support the day-to-day operations of
    the stores function across two locations. This role combines practical warehouse
    responsibilities with stock control, inventory management, and administrative duties to
    ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, supporting site-specific
    requirements, and ensuring stores activities are completed safely and effectively.
    Key Responsibilities
    Receive and process goods inwards and outwards
    Conduct stock control activities, stock reconciliation, and cycle counting
    Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
    Deliver day-to-day stores operations across both sites
    Support agreed performance metrics and site benchmarking objectives
    Process customer and site-specific requests in line with contractual agreements
    Order consumables and materials as required
    Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders
    Support engineers with parts and inventory-related queries
    Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
    Complete general administrative tasks associated with stores operations

In this important role, you will make sure materials, tools and equipment are accurately managed, properly maintained and distributed to sites on time. The Role You will take ownership of warehouse and yard operations, maintaining accurate stock levels and coordinating the receipt, storage and dispatch of materials. Working closely with project managers, suppliers and site operatives, you will help ensure every project is properly equipped and supported. You will also have the opportunity to improve warehouse processes and introduce more efficient ways of working. Key Responsibilities Manage the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of materials, tools and equipment. Maintain accurate stock records through regular stock takes, cycle counts and inventory checks. Prepare and organise materials and equipment for site teams. Coordinate deliveries across multiple project sites. Arrange site clearances and the collection of surplus materials, equipment and waste. Inspect incoming deliveries and report shortages, damage or quality concerns. Monitor stock levels and order materials and consumables when required. Coordinate vehicle loading to maximise space and ensure goods are transported safely. Load and unload vehicles using the appropriate equipment. Ensure tools and equipment are serviced, maintained and ready for use. Keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe and well organised. Maintain accurate records of stock movements, deliveries and warehouse documentation. Liaise with suppliers, project managers and site operatives to support smooth daily operations. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organisation, processes and efficiency. Support the Operations Manager with wider operational duties when required. What We're Looking For You will be dependable, hands-on and comfortable taking responsibility for a busy warehouse operation. You will be able to balance immediate site requirements with accurate stock control, safety and forward planning. You will need: Previous warehouse, stores or inventory management experience. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping. The ability to coordinate deliveries and support multiple project sites. Good communication skills when working with site teams, suppliers and managers. A good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures. A proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes. A full UK driving licence. A forklift licence is highly desirable.
