Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, store, pick, and issue materials in accordance with company procedures and job requirements.
Verify incoming goods against purchase orders, job travellers, and specifications.
Carry out technical inspection of materials and manufactured parts, raising non‑conformances when required.
Prepare, pack, and label goods for despatch to required standards.
Maintain accurate, real‑time inventory records using the ERP system.
Allocate correct part numbers, descriptions, and bin locations for all materials.
Perform routine cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Process inspections, discrepancies, and DMRs within the ERP system.
Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, RAMS, and PPE requirements.
Report, record, and support investigations of safety incidents, near misses, and workplace hazards.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and safe working practices across the
warehouse and stores.
Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and compliance‑related activities.
Support internal and external audits, including stock listings, documentation checks, and provision of samples.
Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as directed.
Ensure all activities meet company, regulatory, and customer standards.
Identify and support improvements to
warehouse, stores, and inventory processes.
Promote company values and a positive team culture in all activities.
Collaborate effectively with production, planning, engineering, quality, sales, and service teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Understanding of
warehouse, stores, stock control, or materials management processes.
Ability to accurately receive, inspect, store, pick, and issue materials and components.
Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory management (e.g., data entry, stock movements, reporting).
Basic technical inspection skills for checking incoming materials and manufactured parts.
Ability to prepare and pack goods securely and to specification.
Knowledge of cycle counting, variance investigation, and corrective actions.
Working knowledge of safe manual handling practices, PPE, and
warehouse safety standards.
Awareness of non‑conformance processes and quality documentation.
Ability to follow RAMS, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Organised and methodical approach to tasks and record‑keeping.
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and develop skills over time.
Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a structured team environment.
Positive communicator who collaborates well with colleagues and supports team goals.
Commitment to continuous improvement and adopting best practice.
Participates in team discussions and offers suggestions.
Executes assigned tasks with supervision and guidance.
