    Hourly Rate: £20.51 per hour (Equivalent to £40,000 FTE)
    Location: Bridgwater, Somerset, UK
    Team Size: 5 Warehouse Staff + 1 Supervisor

    About the Role

    We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse team during a transition period. This fixed-term role is vital to ensuring smooth daily operations, strong stock control, and outstanding service levels. Working closely with internal teams and reporting to senior leadership, you will manage staff, oversee stock and logistics, and drive improvements in performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Ensure a safe and secure working environment, adhering to all Health & Safety regulations

    • Manage and support the Warehouse Supervisor, fostering strong team performance

    • Lead recruitment, retention, and staff development for the warehouse and transport team

    • Allocate resources efficiently to meet changing business needs

    • Use warehouse systems to manage stock levels, delivery schedules, and cost controls

    • Collaborate with the Sales Director and Head Brewer to balance brewed and factored stock

    • Analyse sales data and feedback to enhance customer service delivery

    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations

    • Maintain open communication across the team to ensure alignment and motivation

    • Oversee ad hoc operational projects and ensure timely delivery

    • Implement and manage loss prevention measures, including robust stock control and security procedures

    Key Skills & Experience
    • Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory, and stock control

    • Strong leadership and people management skills

    • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management

    • Effective communication and team coordination

    • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and risk prevention

    • Commercially aware with an eye for cost control

    • Proficient in using warehouse IT systems and data tools

    • Customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset

    We are working with a well-established, fast-growing FMCG group to recruit a hands-on Management Accountant for their site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team in a varied permanent role offering hybrid working.

    The Role


    As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of key financial processes and work closely with the Site General Manager and Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include:

    • Preparing monthly management accounts with insightful commentary and variance analysis

    • Producing financial and management reports, including gross margin, stock, purchases, debtors, and orders

    • Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles

    • Posting accruals and prepayments, and reconciling control accounts (e.g., fixed assets, intercompany, bank, creditors, debtors)

    • Conducting general ledger analysis and preparing VAT returns, EC Sales and Intrastat reporting

    • Maintaining the fixed asset register and producing reports using Excel

    • Partnering with non-financial stakeholders and contributing to ad hoc projects

    About You


    To succeed in this role, you will have:

    • Experience in a similar management accounting role

    • AAT qualification or be part-qualified/qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA or qualified by experience

    • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines

    • Excellent communication skills to engage across departments and levels

    • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (experience with SAP, SQL, Sage 1000, or Exchequer is a bonus)

    • FMCG sector experience is desirable but not essential
