    Ensuring they develop business and leadership competence and Performance Management for today & tomorrow by using the relevant competence building tools and methods to secure the wonderful customer experience in a multi-channel environment. • Actively foster an ongoing open dialogue with co-workers, their associations and other organisations, contributing to successful involvement of co-worker committees/trade unions to secure social partner commitment and alignment to contribute to the business needs, strategic goals and implementation of the business transformations.  • Responsible for ensuring that the talent and succession goals for the assigned business areas are being consciously achieved, providing advice and expertise to line managers to secure a quality and timely process.  • Provide co-worker relations expertise, co-worker insights and advice to the business functions, Unit P&C Business Partners in collaboration with Co-worker Relations Specialists  WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE    It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality.

    Relevant experience and proven performance in retail and/or logistics role
    Minimum of 2 years experience in leading people with proven record of successful leadership delivering both business result and people development.

    As the North Area Loss Prevention & Security Manager, you will lead a holistic and proactive approach to loss prevention and security risk management across markets. Focusing on compliance, loss prevention, and enterprise risk management, you will ensure area priorities are embraced by market stakeholders. Your role involves developing a comprehensive agenda to create a secure environment, mitigating risks, and guiding Unit BR&C Loss Prevention & Security team leaders to identify, assess, and manage local risks effectively.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

    Qualifications: Diploma in Security Management or equivalent expertise in security and loss prevention.

    Experience: At least 5 years in the security and loss prevention industry.

    Decision-Making: Skilled in making balanced decisions considering business, people, and ethics.

    Communication: Fluent in spoken and written English, effective with all organizational levels.

    Leadership: Preferably experienced in managing multiple sites.

    Integrity: Strong ethical standards and a deep sense of integrity.



    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:

    Collaborate with Unit BR&C Leaders: Partner with unit leaders to implement security and loss prevention strategies.

    Provide Expertise and Guidance: Offer specialized knowledge in BR&C, security, and loss prevention to support operational excellence and influence risk-aware decisions.

    Conduct Risk Assessments: Facilitate and perform operational risk assessments, develop risk treatments, and monitor progress.

    Perform Investigations: Conduct internal investigations, analyse root causes, and implement preventive actions to minimize business loss.

    Minimize Financial Impact: Work with markets and external security providers to reduce fraud, accidents, and claims.
    Serve as First Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities and external bodies in all markets.

    Drive Organizational Performance: Ensure a high-performing organization with identified talent and effective succession planning.

    Reduce Anti-Social Incidents: Investigate and improve processes to reduce anti-social behaviours toward coworkers and customers.

    Ensure Effective Incident Management: Oversee incident and crisis handling, root cause analysis, and loss estimation. Ensure CMT training and stakeholder involvement.

    Promote Risk Awareness: Share expertise to promote loss prevention and security, fostering risk-aware decision-making aligned with unit goals and business planning.


    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

    Type Of Role: Fixed Term Contract 12 Months, Full-Time (39 hours/week)

    Schedule: Mainly Monday-Friday, occasional weekends/evenings, on call every 5-6 weeks

    Salary: From £41,.00 plus full IKEA Benefits Package
