    The Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer will provide essential engineering expertise to support Operations in reducing and eliminating downtime. This will be achieved through Continuous Improvement, using lean manufacturing tools to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, as well as delivering minor projects to drive improvements.
    The role involves both proactive maintenance - carrying out Planned Maintenance and closing defects - and reactive maintenance, responding to breakdowns effectively. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Intersnack Working Systems (IWS) and Progressive Maintenance (PM) tools, the PM Shift Engineer will adhere to Daily Management System (DMS) standards to drive waste elimination.
    A key part of the role includes coaching and training Equipment Owners (EOs) in IWS engineering principles and maintenance tasks (AM Step 3 and 4), ensuring a high level of technical capability across the team. What’s in it for you?  We believe in giving back and making sure you're happy and thriving.     What you will be doing

    The Product Definition role includes being influential during all stages of the design cycle (e.g. creating analysis models, producing tolerance stack-ups, creating the master model and producing the component definition - MBD & 2D), manufacture of the part (e.g. supporting Design For Manufacture activities and the manufacturing buy-off process), right through to supporting parts in-service (e.g. managing and incorporating Drawing Alteration Requests, supporting concession activities and supporting in-service investigation work).     Produce tolerance stack-ups to aid new product creation & validation and to support in-service investigation work.

You’ll collaborate on projects with team members from many backgrounds and disciplines, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you in the future, be that at BCG or beyond.
    This internship has been designed specifically for Teach First trainees or ambassadors and the schedule will be developed to ensure you have a community of Teach First peers for support.

    We are looking for creative, driven and collaborative personalities with a genuine interest in management consulting and leadership. If you think this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
    * You are a Teach First trainee or ambassador
    * You are able to spend 4 weeks in London with BCG over the summer from 28th July - 22nd August 2025.
    * You have achieved a grade of 2:1 or higher in any B.Sc. / BA you have completed
    * You have an exceptional academic record
    * You demonstrate evidence of high level success in extracurricular activities
    * You can exhibit a genuine interest / experience in management consulting
