The EC&I Sub-system teams are responsible for the end-to-end design of the reactor C&I, integration, commissioning, power systems control and sensors. As a NDE Engineer - Manufacturing, you will use your knowledge and expertise in development and application of NDT Techniques across the whole product lifecycle. The organisation supports Civil Aerospace, Business Aviation and Defence Aerospace. NDE Laboratory covers the full lifecycle of Rolls-Royce engine products from development, manufacture to service. What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for authoring, reviewing, and verifying Marine and Mechanical designs for power distribution systems; you will:
• Design of systems using Systems Engineering principals including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to achieve optimum solutions at product and sub-system level.
• Problem resolution experience including ownership of, for example: root cause investigations, problem reports, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports (SARs), Quality Concerns, Major Quality Investigations (MQIs), Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs). Dealing with ambiguity.
• Applying knowledge of the importance of determining, managing & flowing system level requirements.
• Planning and management of product change, design technical approval and technical investigations.
• Verifying that the system meets the requirements and ownership of standardisation reports.
• Good inter-personal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with and influence all levels including the customer.
• Work with and co-ordinate extended (i.e. not necessarily co-located) multi-disciplinary teams.

What you will be doing:

Generating the technical package for the shop floor for the heat treatment of parts to ensure compliance to controlling specifications and meeting design requirements. This will include furnace programmes, data cards, procedures and defining the content for technical instructions, and manufacturing stage drawings.

Overseeing running of the furnaces, resolving emergent issues, and providing technical oversight.
