    The Albex Group (Kent Foods Limited. ( are currently looking to recruit an LGV Class 1 - Artic Tramper Driver for our depot based in London Gateway, Stanford-Le-Hope .

    The Albex Group (Kent Foods Limited) supply food ingredients to the food manufacturing industry. The position will involve deliveries and overnights, driving curtain sided vehicles. We are looking for a hard-working dedicated driver to join our team.

    We are offering a competitive salary of £40,625.00 per annum , for an average 48hr working week over 26 week WTD reference period .

    An overnight allowance of £25. Will also be paid for nights out.

    Applicants will preferably hold a clean current driving license and have a positive can-do attitude.

    The Role

    We're looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Mixer Driver to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for delivering concrete, aggregates, and other materials safely and efficiently using grab wagons, tipper trucks, and concrete mixers.

    While experience with concrete mixers is an advantage, training will be provided for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities
    Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
    Deliver concrete, aggregates, and other materials to customer locations in a timely manner.
    Load and unload materials as required, using appropriate equipment.
    Plan efficient routes for deliveries and ensure punctual service.
    Perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
    Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage and fuel consumption.
    Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.

    Requirements

    Essential:
    Valid HGV Class 2 License .
    Current Driver CPC Qualification .
    Clean driving record with no recent violations.
    Strong understanding of road safety regulations.

    Preferred:
    Experience operating grab wagons, tipper trucks, or concrete mixers (minimum 3 years preferred).
    Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
    Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

    The successful HGV Class 2 Recovery Driver - will join a friendly, professional and hardworking team. The role will work directly with our 24-hour control room to carry out minor roadside repairs and recovery of vehicles in a professional manner whilst ensuring the safety of themselves and others at all times.

    No two days are the same within the recovery industry and the role will include a variety of vehicle incidents, including general breakdowns, road traffic collisions and contracted police work.

    The vehicle recovery role involves recovery of a vehicle following a breakdown or accident from the roadside to a final destination which is primarily carried out within a 100km radius working area; although at times you may be required to carry out longer distance recoveries to any UK destination.

    The role of a recovery operative is to attend breakdowns in all weathers, so you need to be prepared to work outside and sometimes in difficult conditions in order to recover vehicles and customers.

    We are seeking candidates that always aim to provide great customer service in a sometimes-challenging environment.

    A person whose attitude is often seen as go 'above and beyond' to offer our customers a solution that fits their needs.

    You will need to enjoy working with customers and be able to demonstrate a positive attitude at times of tolerance, sympathy and understanding.
    A minimum of 1 years driving experience in vehicles 7500KG or above.
    Mechanical knowledge is a preferred advantage, but not essential.
