About The Role Location: Northumberland (Alnwick HWRC, Northumberland NE66 2HT) Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern within our Northumberland Team we are looking for Site Operatives to join our expanding team. Salary £12.39 per hour Working Hours- 
    Your average hours of work in the summer are 42 per week, between 1st April and 31st October; from 07:45am to 19:45pm, Monday to Sunday, on the 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with 30 minutes paid for lunch each day.
    Your average hours of work in the winter are 36.75 per week, between 1st November and 31st March; from 07:45am to 18:15pm, Monday to Sunday, on the 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with 30 minutes paid for lunch each day. Full PPE provided
    What will I be doing? Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site to maximise recovery of material deposited. Maintaining accurate records of material removals and all site activities.
    Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly. Operating site equipment, including the slave Ampliroll vehicle to empty containers, the loading shovel, and the weighbridge, as required (particularly to provide cover during holiday and sickness periods). Maintaining a tidy site. Undertaking first aider and fire warden duties on site. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role. It is an ideal opportunity to learn about the recovery and recycling of household waste. What are the requirements? We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a full UK driving licence, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence/permit and ensure site operations exceed the required standards. A flexible approach to work is essential, as you will be expected to cover holiday and sickness periods and, when required, assist with cover on other sites in the Northumberland region. The successful applicant will undertake personal development to gain skills in waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment, with the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health & safety. Basic administration skills for data recording on SUEZ R & R UK Ltd’s systems will also be advantageous.     What Will I Be Doing? As EC&I Engineer, you’ll lead the technical delivery of all electrical, controls, and instrumentation activities while driving continuous improvement across the plant.
