    We are looking for a seasoned Vehicle Technician, ideally with NVQ level in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance or equivalent skills gained through experience.

    Due to business growth, we have a rare opportunity to join a small working team in our workshop in Bracknell where all vehicles are emptied, washed and prepared before entering workshops and there is a strong focus on creating an excellent working environment.

    What will I be doing?

    Your job will be to maintain our fleet - a task that will see you working with diverse vehicle technology and sophisticated ancillary equipment. With 5,000 people working across 300 locations, SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is a substantial national business. We have a fleet of over 1,500 vehicles. Day to day you will:

    Carry out service, maintenance and repair of all types of vehicles and equipment.

    Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.

    Prepare and carry out MOT.

    Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.

    Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential.

    What are the requirements?

    Demonstrate proven experience and knowledge of repairing and maintaining vehicles.

    HGV licence class 1 or class 2 an advantage but not necessary and opportunities for HGV licences possible.

    Inspection training/IRTEC accreditation an advantage but can be provided.

    Hydraulics and pneumatics are an advantage, but training can be provided if required.

    You must be able to inspect vehicles to the DVSA standards and above.

    What will I be doing? Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve: Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site. Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly. Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role. What are the requirements? With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health & safety and COTC level 4 (waste industry specific), we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.  What you will need is: A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team. Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.     What will I be doing?

    You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors. 

    The role will involve: To safely and efficiently operate fixed machinery, such as bailing machines. To direct customers vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required. Assisting sampling operatives with collection of output samples. Assisting production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime. To contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role. What are the requirements? We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.  
    You will require:  In order to make an immediate impact, we are ideally seeking an experienced plant operator, who holds the relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent, but for the right candidate training can be given. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required. A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement. Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
