    Build your future with Coinford - a leader in groundworks and concrete frame construction. We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to help drive technical excellence and lead engineering activities across complex, high-value projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct quality inspections and raise/close out actions prior to key milestones (e.g. concrete pours, drainage backfill).

    Work closely with Site and Project Management to plan upcoming works and resolve technical challenges.

    Mentor and support junior engineers and chainmen, promoting team development.

    Establish and maintain effective site control.

    Accurately take off quantities for ordering materials.

    Manage and implement ITPs, specifications, QA documentation, and ensure compliance across site activities.

    Monitor and record as-built information for successful handovers.

    Understand and prepare for 3rd party handovers (e.g. ICOSA, Local Authorities, Highways).

    Use AutoCAD proficiently for site and technical drawings.

    Raise and manage RFIs, technical submittals, and maintain accurate registers.

    Oversee and coordinate all temporary works.

    Desirable Skills & Experience:

    Temporary Works Coordination or Training (advantageous)

    A strong desire to progress into Project Management

    Excellent problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    CSCS Card (Engineering/Surveying or equivalent)

    Relevant engineering qualifications or degree

    Full Right to Work in the UK

    Completion of IT induction and training within 1-3 months of employment

    Positive team player with a proactive, can-do attitude

    Able to coordinate with site teams and help drive programme delivery

    Company Overview:

    Coinford is a groundworks and concrete frame specialist that deliver contracts ranging from £1million to £50million throughout London and the Southeast of England.

    Role Purpose/Objective:

    We are looking for a Mobile Plant Fitter to cover sites across the Kent and Essex area. You will be responsible for keeping our plant running smoothly by carrying out repairs, servicing, and maintenance to a high standard. The role is key to reducing downtime on site and ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Health & Safety

    Always work in a safe and responsible manner.
    Wear and maintain the correct PPE for each task.
    Follow all site safety rules and UK Highways regulations.
    Quarantine and report any plant that is unsafe to use.
    Work in line with RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) for Mobile Fitters.
    Manage and comply with COSHH requirements when handling substances.

    Quality & Service

    Carry out routine service checks, preventative maintenance, and scheduled servicing to keep all plant in top working condition.
    Complete breakdown repairs promptly and to a high professional standard.
    Communicate regularly with the Breakdown Manager, workshop, and site teams to ensure smooth operations.
    Keep site management updated on breakdowns and repair status.
    Maintain a professional approach at all times and act as an ambassador for the company.
    Ensure all plant is safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.
    Accurately complete job records and reports using the company tablet system.
    Work proactively with the Breakdown Supervisor to ensure the right parts are available when needed.
    Report any misuse or neglect of plant immediately.
    Use initiative and strong problem-solving skills to minimise delays and keep projects moving.
    Comply with FORS regulations and report any road traffic incidents to the FORS Manager.

    Commercial

    Minimise downtime of all plant and machinery on site.
    Complete repairs in a cost-efficient and effective manner.
    Support Site Managers and Foremen with advice on safe, efficient plant operation.

    This role is varied and hands-on, and the above duties are not exhaustive. The post holder may be required to carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of the role.

    Experience/Skills Required:

    Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role.
    Strong knowledge of heavy plant machinery, hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems.
    Experience in carrying out both breakdown repairs and planned service checks / preventative maintenance.
    NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (preferred).
    Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
    Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, RAMS, COSHH, and PPE.
    Familiarity with FORS regulations (advantageous).
    Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and solve problems under pressure.
    Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with site teams, supervisors, and managers.
    Basic IT skills to complete reports and use company tablets for job recording.
