    Complete breakdown repairs promptly and to a high professional standard.

    Keep site management updated on breakdowns and repair status.
    Maintain a professional approach at all times and act as an ambassador for the company.
    Ensure all plant is safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.
    Accurately complete job records and reports using the company tablet system.
    Work proactively with the Breakdown Supervisor to ensure the right parts are available when needed.
    Report any misuse or neglect of plant immediately.
    Use initiative and strong problem-solving skills to minimise delays and keep projects moving.
    Comply with FORS regulations and report any road traffic incidents to the FORS Manager.

    Commercial

    Minimise downtime of all plant and machinery on site.
    Complete repairs in a cost-efficient and effective manner.
    Support Site Managers and Foremen with advice on safe, efficient plant operation.

    This role is varied and hands-on, and the above duties are not exhaustive. The post holder may be required to carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of the role.

    Experience/Skills Required:

    Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role.
    Strong knowledge of heavy plant machinery, hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems.
    Experience in carrying out both breakdown repairs and planned service checks / preventative maintenance.
    NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (preferred).
    Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
    Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, RAMS, COSHH, and PPE.
    Familiarity with FORS regulations (advantageous).
    Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and solve problems under pressure.
    Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with site teams, supervisors, and managers.
