    Due to the growth of our business several opportunities for Skilled Welders (time-served welding apprenticeship - City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent) have arisen within the New Build and Components facility, division of Rolls-Royce Submarine. You will be joining our experience welding team working on the fabrication of complex pressure vessels and pipework. These components will form part of our next generation of products that we will be delivering to the Royal Navy.

    You will be involved with the welding of a range of materials using various manual and mechanised welding processes. We have a mixture of both manual Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) operations and multi-hour Mechanised TIG and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding operations, so flexibility across both types of work is essential. You will be working within an environment that is maintained to a high standard, with clear procedures and process control to meet the quality specifications required of our product.

    What you will be doing:

    You will be responsible for welding product to nuclear standards using technical instructions, manufacturing drawings, and written specifications.
    Ensuring compliance to process control and workplace cleanliness standards.You will be welding to high specifications that will be subject to inspection potentially including X-Ray, Ultrasonic (U/T) and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI).You will be working with the latest welding technology including a variety of mechanised technology for both static and rotational welding configurations.Performing welding procedures in a range of positions including 6G.You will work within a team to resolve production and quality issues and have the flexibility to undertake other tasks and activities when production work is not required.
    Your role will be an integral part of our manufacturing process and will enable Rolls-Royce to maintain our excellent quality standards.

    You will have completed a recognised time-served welding apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent. Experience completing thick gauge welding procedure, ideally working on pipes. Ideally will possess experience in pressure welding to 100% X-Ray, ultrasonic or liquid penetrant inspection (LPI).You will possess experience in welding a range of materials, including stainless steel.Working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.

We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. You will be required to attend the Folkestone/Crawley office at least twice a week. Role Responsibility Your responsibilities will span across advertising style, imaginative headline-led marketing sales messages, targeted personal (not just personalised) customer communications, product descriptive content, blogs, and trade communications. You will report to the Content Lead and work as part of a wider marketing team for all things travel at Saga. Your key responsibilities will be to;   Create engaging copy to the brief and deadline on a range of brand communications. Fully own the writing of copy for all channels; Brochures, Advertising, Email and web copy, Tactical promotions and Saga Magazine. Champion the brands and write, adapt and edit content in line with our content strategy and consistent tone of voice. Work with the designers to ensure \\\'joined up\\\' responses to marketing briefs that bring the idea to life. Ensure all copy changes are updated across all contact points. Conduct research to ensure copy is original, engaging, and factually accurate. (Have a journalistic style to your writing.) Execute delivery with affective planning and collaboration across teams. Engage with Content Lead, Marketing and Product to ensure briefs are provided with required information at the required time to meet deadlines. Ensure copy is approved through the right channels and use systems (CMS, workflow management) to provide visibility of work status and accurately record progress. Ensure systems are kept up to date. Raise risk around deadlines and manage your workload to meet all stage gate deadlines. Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic, and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business. The Ideal Candidate You will have already worked in the Travel Industry as a credible creative travel writer and can demonstrate previous experience and copy for work you have personally produced, either in-house or agency side. You will also ideally have first-hand travel experience, along with the following; Impeccable skills in writing - grammar, punctuation, tone and positioning. Must have a solid understanding of tour operating, and, ideally, first-hand travel experience. Experience writing for web and understands nuances of SEO and online copy. Attention to detail is key, project tasks have multiple outputs and providing our customers accurate and timely information is vital. Highly organised, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to work largely unsupervised, and deliver to a brief in a timely, collaborative, and pro-active manner. Zealous in their approach to ensuring that existing products are kept up to date, on-brand and consistent across all promotional channels. Entrepreneurial, journalistic and inquisitive. Desirable; Ideally educated to degree level with a journalist / marketing / creative writing subject. Have previously used a CMS – ideally have knowledge of FileMaker Pro.
