    The Harwell site, situated just south of Oxford, and the Winfrith site in Dorset are the former research sites supporting nuclear power generation. Both sites are now in the decommissioning phase, with the priority being to remove the legacy waste, demolition and deconstruction of the majority of the buildings and facilities, to ultimately return the sites back to green field status and re-use.

    Could you be our next Safety Case Engineer? You'll deliver nuclear safety cases and associated documentation supporting the fast-moving nuclear decommissioning projects across the Harwell and Winfrith sites, as well as general site safety case requirements (e.g. Periodic Safety Review).

    Every project at NRS has unique and interesting challenges requiring sound judgement, teamwork and project delivery excellence. Many of our projects are world first decommissioning challenges and attract interest from the wider decommissioning community. Some examples include - the retrieval and processing for long term disposal of historic research waste at Harwell and the decommissioning of the world's first high temperature helium cooled reactor using laser cutting and remote operations at Winfrith.

    Key Deliverables:

    Implement strategies for individual Safety Cases acting as Safety Case Project Manager, Author or Verifier where nominated.
    Write and/or verify Safety Cases in accordance with Company Standards.
    Assist in maintaining the various safety cases, across the Harwell and Winfrith sites and support the modifications process.
    Prepare and amend operating instructions and procedures to implement the limits and conditions arising from Safety Cases.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Essential: -

    A degree or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification in a suitable technical subject, e.g. mechanical engineering / physics.
    Knowledge of modern standards of safety case production and processes within the nuclear industry.
    Knowledge of safety case processes and applications relevant to a nuclear decommissioning site (e.g. fault schedule production, ALARP justification, etc.)
    Experience of safety case project and/or resource management.
    Understanding of engineering safety and the derivation of Safety Functional Requirements.
    Understanding of Site Licence Conditions, and Statutory and Mandatory Requirements.

    Desirable: -

    Membership of an appropriate scientific or engineering institution.
    Knowledge of hazard identification and analysis techniques.

    Manchetts are seeking applications for Class 2 Recovery Drivers with vehicle mechanical knowledge to join our recovery team based out of either Cambridgeshire or Suffolk.

    The successful HGV Class 2 Recovery Driver - will join a friendly, professional and hardworking team. The role will work directly with our 24-hour control room to carry out minor roadside repairs and recovery of vehicles in a professional manner whilst ensuring the safety of themselves and others at all times.

    No two days are the same within the recovery industry and the role will include a variety of vehicle incidents, including general breakdowns, road traffic collisions and contracted police work.

    The vehicle recovery role involves recovery of a vehicle following a breakdown or accident from the roadside to a final destination which is primarily carried out within a 100km radius working area; although at times you may be required to carry out longer distance recoveries to any UK destination.

    The role of a recovery operative is to attend breakdowns in all weathers, so you need to be prepared to work outside and sometimes in difficult conditions in order to recover vehicles and customers.

    We are seeking candidates that always aim to provide great customer service in a sometimes-challenging environment.

    A person whose attitude is often seen as go 'above and beyond' to offer our customers a solution that fits their needs.

    You will need to enjoy working with customers and be able to demonstrate a positive attitude at times of tolerance, sympathy and understanding.
    A minimum of 1 years driving experience in vehicles 7500KG or above.
    Mechanical knowledge is a preferred advantage, but not essential.
    Full training will be provided relative of experience.
    An up to date digital tacho card is essential.
    Preference will be given to those who have achieved the required 35 hours of CPC training.
    We offer a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working a 12-hour shift (Average of 42 hours per week). Overtime is available. This role will cover day and night working on an 8 week rotational rota.
    6.2 weeks holiday (inclusive of BH) pro-rated for shift pattern.

    All candidates will be fully vetted once a conditional offer of employment has been signed. Vetting includes employment and character references, criminal record checks, proof of right to work checks. These are all part of the company's policies and procedures relevant to the industry and services that we provide.

    What will you be doing?

    As a Quantity Surveyor for BES Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the commercial administration and management of assigned contracts.

    Leading by example, you will encourage positive contract management and commercial behaviours throughout the operational delivery teams leading to ongoing improvements in delivery performance and profitability.

    Some of your other responsibilities will include:

    Preparing the Application for Payments and managing the invoicing process for various rail and non-rail contracts. Ensuring timely submissions in line with client expectations, agreeing fees quickly and dealing with commercial related queries promptly and efficiently.
    Identifying project change control, contract management and risk mitigation with colleagues, contractors and suppliers
    Ensuring the accuracy of pricing and costing of annual contract work banks, and any additional works associated with the contract including the application of SoRs against asset descriptors
    Maximising strategic supply chain cost saving opportunities through structured procurement processes and ongoing supplier engagement
    Enhancing value, reducing costs and preparing CVR reconciliations.
