I'm looking for caring and understanding people to support me both at home and out in my local community. I'm a woman in my 50s with autism and a moderate learning disability. Sometimes I experience high anxiety and may show behaviors of concern, such as self-injury or scratching, so I need a team who can offer patience, reassurance, and a calm approach. It's important to me that my support team understands autism and can help me feel safe and valued. I love listening to music and watching films, especially anything to do with Christmas, which is my favorite time of year! I also enjoy getting out and about in the community, shopping, visiting local cafés, and catching up with friends I've made there. At home, I like doing face masks, self-care activities, and baking with staff. If you're someone who is kind, patient, and enjoys helping others live a full and happy life, I'd love to hear from you. We use a digital social care record system, to support daily recording, which will make your day-to-day tasks easier and allows you to spend more time with the People We Support. Some aspects of this role will involve lone working. Shift Patterns This is a 24 hour service and will require the flexibility to work a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays in turn as part of a team. As a person-centred provision, we will look to develop shift patterns around the support needs of the people being supported, and therefore it's unlikely that there will be a 'standard' shift time, and it's likely that the pattern of work will evolve as people's lives evolve. Please note that the shifts may vary. Role Responsibility This is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include: promoting the independence of people we support supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday arranging activities in the home and in the local community developing individual's life skills and personal interests helping individual's to stay safe and healthy assisting with personal care needs manual handling if required supporting people with medication Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements. We support people in the local area who are having difficulty in coping and who may be suffering from a common mental illness such as depression, anxiety or phobias. Our approach embeds the notion of well-being and recovery and promotes personal responsibility for lifestyle choices and self-management of mental well-being. For our clients, this has resulted in a highly accessible and user-friendly service available across a wide geographical area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner with strong leadership skills to join our senior leadership team as Deputy Clinical Lead, working alongside our step 2/3 Team Leaders deputising to the Strategic Clinical lead. This post is open to any experienced NHS Talking Therapy clinician who has been in a senior role and are formally qualified and fully accredited via established IAPT training and professional bodies. This is a hybrid role and can involve a combination of service based and home working, with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office. Role Responsibility The role involves oversight of the clinical team including qualified and trainee High Intensity Therapists. You will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day operation of the service, including supervision and line management of clinical team leaders and therapists, delivery of KPIs and provision of training for staff.     Job Introduction We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join Turning Point and be part of our highly successful and innovative NHS Talking Therapies (formerly known as IAPT) service. At Wakefield Talking Therapies we specialise in evidence–based psychological therapies and we are looking for someone to lead waiting list and clinical capacity management whilst identifying opportunities to better meet patient need.The post holder will play a key role in ensuring NHS Talking Therapy targets are met, with a focus on ensuring therapist time is well planned and efficient, wait lists are proactively managed and we remain responsive to the needs of our community. The post holder will be a confident leader with the ability to analyse complex data from a variety of sources, identify trends and lead others to do the same. We support people in the local area who are having difficulty in coping and who may be suffering from a common mental illness such as depression, anxiety or phobias. Our approach embeds the notion of well–being and recovery and promotes personal responsibility for lifestyle choices and self–management of mental well–being. For our clients, this has resulted in a highly accessible and user–friendly service available across a wide geographical area.This is a hybrid role – a combination of service based and home working.Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for ensuring that we offer the right mix of appointments and availability to meet patient need, that waits are proactively managed and clinical time is effectively utilised. Leadership skills are essential as you will lead delivery of key performance areas for the service and line manage therapists, supporting their development and working as part of a leadership team who work closely to deliver an ethical and innovative service.You will actively contribute to improvement and innovation through your work and will champion best practice. You will ensure that robust processes and systems are in place to deliver an efficient service. You will collect and analyse performance data to identify trends and work alongside the leadership team to deliver action. You will line manage therapists. The Ideal CandidateYou will need to be a confident leader who can manage their time and priorities effectively. You will be a great communicator who listens and supports colleagues whilst having the conviction to deliver change and improvement. You will have a good understanding of data reporting, analysis and audit allowing you to identify trends and communicate and evidence your ideas clearly. We have an active wellbeing working group made up staff from various roles in the service who work together to organise events, keep people connected and provide information and support helping to make this a really great place to work. We also offer the opportunity to manage your wellbeing by working flexibly and, as the service is open 7 days a week there are lots of opportunities to ensure this can work for you as well as our clients.
