    We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Heat Treatment Operative to work for a fantastic client based in Swavesey. This is an exciting opportunity to advance a career in heat treatment. This is a temporary position leading to permanent employment after a 6-month period. The position is working Monday to Friday working 40 hours per week on a rotating shift patten.

    Typical work duties are:

    • Surface preparation of customer work (cleaning, blasting, stopping off)
    • Establish efficient production loading using jigs and fixtures
    • Testing of production loads and preparation of furnace loads
    • Carry out all activities with reference to company operating procedures, data sheets, and health and safety procedures.
    • Fixture management, maintenance, and repair
    • Daily/weekly/monthly furnace checks
    • Maintain a clean and organised work environment within the department. (5s)

    The Successful Candidate:

    • Must have knowledge of heat treatment practice and testing principles
    • Willing to work shifts, including nights.
    • Willing and eager to learn new skills
    • Fork lift truck license (desirable)
    • Physically fit to meet the demands of the role and handling of heavy items

    • Acting as a primary point of contact for all building and site queries.

    • Assisting with the movement of furniture and equipment.

    The successful candidates:

    • Previous experience working within facilities or in a similar proactive hands on position.
    • Hardworking and enjoys working as part of a wider team.
