    Role and Responsibility of the Business Development Manager

    The role of Business Development Manager promotes the business' services to a varied and wide range of companies across different sectors, including, Chemical, Petrochemical, Food, Beverage, Renewable Energy and Oil & Gas. Working closely with the Sales and marketing Director, this role allows you to work broadly across the different engineering sectors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To manage your sales region, identifying sales opportunities and achieving KPI's. As well as managing and growing existing relationships as well as business development. (80% new business development)
    • Promote & participate in company visits to our other facilities
    • Present quotations to clients including prompt follow ups by leading the quotation/tender process.
    • Work with Senior Management to set and monitor sales targets to achieve objectives.
    • Participate in trade shows as required.
    • To Monitor business trends, competitor data and gather market intelligence relating to specialist industries within the business.
    • Work closely with the Proposals Department to ensure an excellent standard of quotation is prepared and presented

    Essential Criteria of the Business Development Manager

    • At least 5 years prior experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer or Account Manager.
    • Experience of working within a relevant Engineering background (Chemical, Petrochemical, Heavy Industry).
    • A proven background in sales including sales pipeline management and development of new business. Including determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable company.
    • Highly proficient IT and presentation skills.

    As a Powder Coater, you will use both powder coating and wet painting techniques to deliver high-quality finishes on a variety of metal components.

    Key Responsibilities of the Powder Coater role:

    • Apply powder coatings and wet paints using manual spray guns and appropriate equipment
    • Set up, operate, and maintain spray and coating machinery to ensure smooth operation
    • Ensure all coatings meet required quality, finish, and specification standards
    • Inspect completed parts for consistency and high-quality finish
    • Identify and resolve coating issues to reduce waste and rework

    We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor within our vehicle building and conversion facility. This role will ensure that targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards across bespoke and batch vehicle builds (vans, trucks, specialist conversions).
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise p teams (fabricators, fitters, electricians etc.) to ensure timely completion of vehicle builds.
    • Coordinate daily production schedules, manage workflow, and allocate resources effectively.
    • Monitor build progress and ensure vehicles meet design specifications and company quality standards.
    • Liaise with the engineering, quality, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any bottlenecks.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
    • Ensure health & safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.
    • Conduct daily briefings, monitor staff performance, manage absences, and support training initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records, track KPIs, and report progress to senior management.
    • Read engineering and fabrication drawings provided and work from these.
    • Experience in drilling, jigged and un-jigged assembly to drawings and using power tools safely to do so.
    • Preferred experience in MIG / TIG welding fabricated parts in accordance with engineering drawings to specific company standards and procedures meeting company and customer requirements.
    • Installation of insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies
    • Basic wiring knowledge of lights and fixtures on commercial vehicles


    Requirements of the position.

    • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor/Team Leader within engineering or manufacturing.
    • Understanding of vehicle assembly (not essential) , fabrication, wiring, fitting,
    • Ability to read technical drawings and manufacturing plans.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
    • IT-literate

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical, automotive, or Engineering -related field.
