    About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their in-house engineering design consultancy on a fully remote contract basis. You will take ownership of the technical delivery for a small portfolio of projects or contribute to larger projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply and expand your expertise in civil engineering design, while enjoying the flexibility of remote work with occasional site visits.
    About the Client: Our client is a respected and growing in-house engineering consultancy providing services to a variety of internal business units. Operating in the water, heavy industrial, power, and design & build sectors, they are known for tackling complex and innovative engineering challenges.
    Key Responsibilities: Technical: Apply sound engineering principles to design tasks and problem-solving. Prepare outline and detailed designs in line with industry standards. Develop clear and concise design calculations, reports, and drawings. Use BIM-led tools such as STAAD Pro, FEM Analysis, and Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.
    Project Management: Effectively plan and implement engineering projects. Manage resources, timelines, and budgets. Understand and work within commercial frameworks. Ensure compliance with internal quality and HSE standards.
    People Management: Support and mentor Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and Technicians. Coordinate team efforts to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
    Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
    What Our Client is Looking For: Essential: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Demonstrated experience using Eurocodes and UK industry codes. Ability and willingness to travel for short-term site visits. Full UK/EEC driving licence. Desired: Chartered or working towards chartered status with a relevant professional body. Experience with technical design in multi-disciplinary projects.
