    What you will be doing:

    Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles.
    Diagnosing and fixing faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    Perform key component work; engine, gear box, suspension and brakes.
    Completing all service documentation and inspections to DVLA standards.
    Working to time targets without compromising on safety or quality.

    Key Duties

    Work with wiring systems including SWA, MICC, T&E and conduit.

    Diagnose and resolve faults in an industrial environment.

    Work with AC and DC drives, servos and motors.

    Undertake PLC fault finding.

    Carry out HV and LV isolation and switching.

    Work with pressure, flow and temperature loops.

    Install and maintain single and three-phase wiring systems.

    Work with various motor starter methods and associated circuits.

    Requirements

    Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.

    BSth edition and C&G 2391.

    Ideally five years' relevant industry experience, preferably within heavy industry or refining.

    Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in electrical and instrumentation systems.

    Strong electrical fault-finding knowledge is essential.

    Ability to work shifts and respond to call-ins when required.
