    Your duties will include PMIs, general repairs and preventative maintenance as well as electrical and hydraulic fault finding, diagnostics and major unit overhauls.

    NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Heavy vehicle or Light Commercial vehicle repair or equivalent preferred, though Level 2 or time served candidates will be considered too. IRTEC and LOLER would be advantageous but not essential as training can be provided. HGV license advantageous but training and license acquisition is available.

    £18 to £24p/h dependant on qualifications and/or experience.

    A positive can-do attitude and willingness to be part of a team is a must, as is the ability to make decisions working solo.

    This is an opportunity to join in a full-time employed permanent role.

    Focused on expanding the most valued domestic installation team within this sector, an ideal applicant must be a fully qualified experienced electrician possessing excellent face to face customer service skills, a "can do" work ethic, with EV charge point installation experience.

    The role is based from home, then travelling to customers properties. You will be responsible for collaborating with the customer to achieve the most desirable installation whilst adhering to the current wiring regulations and company practices. Your installations will normally be within your home area, in Exeter, generally within that remit, but may vary depending on demand, with the occasional travel.

    Required:

    A fully NVQ qualified level 3 electrician, or equivalent.
    Hold a full UK Driving licence
    Off Road parking facility at home where a charging point may be fitted

    Desirable:

    2391 Inspection and testing (or equivalent)
    2919 Electric vehicle charging equipment installation
    Experience in the Electric vehicle sector
    ECS gold card or JIB equivalent

    Master Mix Concrete is a growing concrete supplier operating a modern fleet of HGV mixer trucks and plant equipment. We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to help manage our in-house workshop and oversee the maintenance of our mixer fleet.

    This is a hands-on role working alongside our existing mechanic team , helping ensure our vehicles are maintained, serviced and ready for daily operations.

    The role would suit either an experienced workshop supervisor or a senior HGV technician looking to step into a management position .

    Key Responsibilities

    Help manage the day-to-day running of the workshop
    Work alongside our mechanic team to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV mixer trucks
    Manage and arrange vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
    Ensure vehicles are prepared for MOTs and external inspections
    Maintain service and maintenance records
    Manage parts ordering and supplier coordination
    Support good workshop organisation and safety standards
    Manage tachograph checks and vehicle compliance processes

    You will not be solely responsible for Operator Licence compliance and will work closely with company directors and management to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.

    Requirements

    Experience working with HGV vehicles or commercial vehicle maintenance
    Good practical knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs
    Ability to help organise workshop activity and work with a small team
    A proactive, hands-on approach

    Formal qualifications are not essential if you have strong practical experience.

    Desirable (Not Essential)

    Experience working with concrete mixer trucks, tippers or plant equipment
    Knowledge of hydraulic systems
    HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
