Summary

As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will be essential in diagnosing and repairing various automotive issues to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs. Your expertise will not only enhance vehicle performance but also contribute to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities and Duties

. Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults

Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working

Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined

Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service and inspection.

Undertaking repair and maintenance of vehicle parts including clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes and suspension.

Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records.

Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
Experience in performing routine maintenance and inspections
Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in a workshop environment
Relevant certifications in automotive repair or mechanics with at least 3 years experience are a plus

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Electrician to join our well-established team, delivering a wide range of electrical services across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. This varied role will involve installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing, with opportunities to work on specialist projects including EV charger and battery storage installations.

The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and committed to high standards of workmanship, while also being confident in dealing with customers on-site.

We work in Cambridge and surrounding areas within a 35-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in domestic, commercial, and industrial environments
Inspection, testing, and certification of electrical systems (C&G 2391 qualification desirable)
Fault-finding and diagnosis in a variety of systems
Installation of EV chargers and battery storage systems
Working in compliance with current Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and health & safety legislation
Completing documentation accurately and on time

Essential Requirements:

City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Minimum 4 years experience across domestic, commercial, and industrial projects
Strong knowledge of inspection and testing procedures
Full UK driving licence

You'll be pivotal in transitioning the curriculum into Audit Stream L&D (it currently sits in the business). You'll work close with our US practitioners, ensuring our learning meets the needs of the business, remains high-quality and is commercially viable. You'll be responsible for overseeing our QC 1000 response and liaise directly with global and US colleagues, influencing learning strategy for the future. You'll report directly to the Audit Stream L&D Leadership Team. Key responsibilities: Support the transition plan for the US curriculum, addressing compliance and delivery risks and managing the change process. Develop and deliver high quality, impactful and innovative content that meets learner needs and delivers business outcomes. Build strategic relationships with SMEs, Global L&D, and the US firm. Support the evaluation of learning impact and effectiveness (lead by our Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance team) Bring fresh ideas to support effective learning solutions. Support the QC 1000 process, optimising our systems, processes and controls in relation to the US curriculum.
