    As our Reservoir Supervising Engineer you will: Ensure the safe operation and statutory compliance of reservoirs under the Reservoirs Act 1975.  Supervise the operation and maintenance of reservoirs and produce annual performance statements.  Take legal responsibility for reservoir safety at all times.  Support the development and implementation of structured training to become a fully competent Reservoir Supervising Engineer within 4 years.  Work as part of a specialist team providing expert advice on reservoir safety and integrity.  Apply risk management principles to protect and improve reservoir assets.  Plan and carry out asset management activities, including inspections, maintenance prioritisation, and major works.  Develop and maintain integrated asset policies covering design, operation, maintenance, and investment decisions.  Ensure compliance with regulations, business plans, and regulatory targets in all asset-related policies.  Contribute to capital investment programmes for reservoir assets.  Promote and maintain the company’s reputation as a responsible reservoir undertaker within the industry. 
    What skills & qualifications you will need: Strong technical and engineering expertise, including design, operational, and maintenance knowledge.  Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering.  In-depth understanding of engineering specifications, design guidance, and site process safety.  Appointment by Defra as a member of the Supervising Engineers’ Panel (essential).  Ability to work in confined spaces and meet strict medical criteria (BMI, vision, blood pressure, hearing, and spirometry tests) to ensure safety in hazardous environments. We’re happy to discuss these requirements individually before you apply.  Knowledge of end-to-end delivery processes, including project management plans, risk management, quality techniques, and cost models.  Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and support change initiatives.  Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook.
