Main duties of the job Main duties of the job The department in Hull Royal Infirmary operates a subspecialist system of reporting serviced by teams of consultants.  The Histopathologist Team at York Hospitals report a wide range of histopathology samples as well as attending and providing specialist input at MDTs.  SHYPS is in partnership with the National Pathology Imaging Co-operative (NPIC) and seeks to implement and deploy digital pathology in the very near future. The department supports working from home and hopes to offer even greater flexibility in the future. The role will consist of working within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department managing clinic patients at York Hospital and Clifton Park Chapel Clinic.
