    The team you'll be working with: We are looking for experienced, pragmatic, personable and talented Solution Architects and Application Architects for our UK Central Government accounts, supporting the delivery of digital, data and technology services.  You will have experience of working with national scale systems and services, gained from previous engagements at government departments such as the Home Office, Ministry of Justice, or Ministry of Defence. Your technical skills will be broad, covering aspects such as consulting, cloud services, application integration, data management and custom application development. You will be comfortable working in environments with multiple suppliers and interacting with a varied set of stakeholders. What you'll be doing: You will be working to define solutions and shape the architectural aspects of programmes. This may range from driving initial discovery phases to understand the landscape and identify challenges, through to designing solutions within product and programme teams. You will be comfortable working in an agile, fast moving environment – building relationships quickly and working as part of collaborative, multi-functional teams. You will own or contribute to activities such as: Evaluating the current state of a solution or service; Identifying challenges, gaps and opportunities; Identifying technical solutions and options; Defining programme roadmaps and high level direction setting; Defining transition states and transformation approaches; Supporting estimation and business case generation for proposed solutions; Guiding proposed solutions through technical governance reviews; Building relationships with technical and business stakeholders What experience you'll bring: Strong solution architecture experience, ideally gained within a public sector environment Strong knowledge of cloud-based services (ideally AWS) and cloud native solutions. Experience working within an architectural framework ( TOGAF, Zachman) Experience of delivering solutions with strict security controls, where external security assurance is mandated. Experience defining the high level engineering approach at a programme level – such as defining transition states, architectural roadmaps and identifying potential delivery options.     What we’re looking for

    • Deep experience in ETL, integration, and transformation frameworks (including dbt)

    • Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS

    • Expertise in DAX, M, and SQL (Python or R is a bonus!)

    • Ability to design impactful, user-friendly visualisations (Power BI experience preferred)

    • Understanding of data protection, information governance, and IT architecture

    • Awareness of HR processes and how they connect to finance, procurement, and wider business services would be beneficial

    • Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile, and sometimes ambiguous environments



    Experience in HR or related domains—and knowledge of the software industry—is highly desirable
