This growing team are now seeking to expand their Commercial Disputes sub-team in our Plymouth office So what does each of the roles involve? Our Commercial Disputes sub-team act on behalf of leading utilities, infrastructure and retail organisations providing a comprehensive recoveries and dispute resolution service. Your role will see you working on a range of debt recovery matters producing pre-action letters, issuing, executing and completing claims through the County Court, enforcing Judgment Orders where necessary, drafting Statutory Demands, issuing Bankruptcy and Winding Up Proceedings in addition to dealing with strategic resolution of litigated consumer claims brought against our client. There will also be opportunities for you to get involved with the wider projects within WBD Advance. So what are we looking for? You may have just completed your legal studies, or already be working as a Paralegal, or in a non-legal role with relevant experience. What's really important to us is the great skills you're going to be able to bring with you. Once you have completed your initial training to undertake relevant tasks supported by one of the 8 lawyers embedded within the sub-team, this is a role that requires an ability to take responsibility for performing the tasks set, so you'll need to be proactive, motivated and able to manage your workload effectively. You'll also be highly organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively as we often work to tight and urgent deadlines. As this is a client facing role, you'll be expected to build and maintain strong relationships, recognising what matters most to our clients and offering them practical, commercial solutions. This role sits at the heart of our financial governance, supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, monthly management reporting and a range of compliance activities. Your written advice will be fluent and concise and your high level of commerciality will enable you to address the client's overall objectives. Strong interpersonal skills will give you the ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with the different interests of our clients. As important however will be the ability to work with and alongside a range of colleagues, across locations, as most of the projects we deal with involve multi-disciplinary teams.
