Job Title: Driver/ Counter Assistant
Location: Southampton
Hours of Work: Mon-Fri: 7.30-16.30
We are currently seeking to recruit a Driver/Counter Assistant to join the Southampton branch team.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will need to demonstrate strong people skills and some history in the front line of selling building products or general building/construction sectors.
Responsibilities include: Managing daily delivery and dispatch process and ensuring correct routingEnsuring Weekly Vehicle checks are completed.Be able to identify, pick, load and deliver product in a timely and professional wayServing and managing customer inquiries.Unloading, checking, picking, and loading deliveriesEnsuring high levels of Customer service are maintained at all times.Warehouse and driving duties
Skills/Attributes: Good local Knowledge, and knowledge of the local road system.Full UK driving licencePC LiterateAble to listen and follow instructions. Ideally some knowledge of the construction industryAble to work well within a close team environmentReliability – consistent, clear, integrity, enthusiastic, trust worthyLevel headed – Able to deal with problems in a calm and methodical mannerLocal knowledge of customers and the local areaPhysically fit
