Youll be involved in both br/ br/ planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work , with plenty of opportunity to use your practical engineering skills. Your day-to-day work will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical breakdowns. Responding quickly to equipment faults to minimise production downtime. Mechanical fitting, repair and maintenance. Welding and fabrication work. Maintaining pumps, motors, valves, conveyors and ancillary equipment. Inspecting machinery and reporting defects or potential issues. Working closely with production teams to identify and resolve problems. Supporting site improvement and engineering projects. Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping across workshops and plant areas. The Skills Were Looking For Were looking for someone who genuinely enjoys br/ br/ hands-on engineering br/ br/ and isnt afraid to get stuck into a difficult mechanical problem. Youll ideally have: Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering background. Strong mechanical maintenance experience. Previous experience within br/ br/ manufacturing, production, process or heavy industrial environments . Excellent mechanical fault-finding skills. Experience with br/ br/ fitting, turning and milling . Strong br/ br/ ARC/MMA welding and fabrication br/ br/ skills. Good knowledge of pumps and associated mechanical equipment. A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving. The ability to work independently and as part of a small engineering team. Additional Skills That Would Be a Bonus Experience with any of the following would be highly beneficial: Overhead gantry cranes. Industrial compressors. Refrigeration plant. Low-pressure air blowers.
