With a proud history dating back to 1934, the Wernick Group has grown over 90 years to become Britain’s largest independent manufacturer and hirer of portable and modular accommodation.We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to play a crucial role in the successful implementation of project delivery, you will work closely with Pre-Construction, Contract Managers and Finance teams for the administration & set-up of projects, capturing costs and ensuring that contract terms and mechanisms are followed to ensure that projects costs are received on-time and that budgets are delivered. About The RoleKey Responsibilities:Communicate with stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure that all project goals are metAssist Pre-construction team with plan and specification distribution, printing needs, creating binders & labels, maintain files, schedules and coordinates project meetings and takes meeting minutes.Assist and lead where required project launch meetings and circulate actionsManage contracts, overseeing the entire contract lifecycleRaise contracts into MCSRaise building control ordersSet up and input costing sheets for all projectsAssist with the administering and overseeing of each contract after it has been awarded.Working with the Contract Managers / sales team assist with the administration of the project to maximize value and minimize risk.Providing office support including sending emails and general administrative dutiesKeeping well-organised and up to date files and records of business activity and ensuring that documents are saved and referenced correctly on MCS / H drive.Collating and saving site information and pulling together and maintaining information for KPI’s.Take up references, negotiate costs, and maintain records on subcontractorsPlace orders with subcontractors including all site activities e.g. crane, haulage, trackway, and site management etc.Complete and issue site boxes and relevant job specific items such as construction phase plans site plans and health and safety foldersContinue to update costing sheet through project process on a weekly basisRaise variations as instructed, add costs on to MCS, update contract add to costing sheets, monitor and manage variations/changesAssist with the administering and overseeing of contracts once buildings are handed over (on hire)Liaise with the Contract Managers to ensure sub-contract invoices are correct and authorised before payment is made.Update, check subcontract orders, ensure current, and correctManage client Aftersales issuesFinalise costing sheet new lines post contract liveChase certificates for building control approvalProduce O&M manualsIssue electronic and hard copy of O&M manualsEnsure that Contract Managers are kept informed of any project financial problems and implicationsConduct audits, as may be required.Any other duties as may be required and agreed from time to time Essential Criteria: Good verbal and written communicationDemonstrate negotiationAttention to detail & organisational skillsFinancial awarenessAnalytical and problem solvingAdministrative experienceComputer software e.g. Microsoft Word & ExcelUK driving licence – as some travel may be required Preferred Criteria:Previous experience within the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be given.What You Will Get in Return:Competitive salary and bonus schemeGenerous holiday allowance (rising with service)Option to buy extra holidaysOption to sell or carry over up to 5 days holidayChristmas ShutdownEarly finish FridayCycle to work schemeGroup pensionAnnual salary review (each January)Life Assurance (2x annual salary)Personal Accident InsuranceFree onsite parkingEmployee assistance programTraining and progression opportunitiesFamily-run and well-established, secure company (trading over 90 years)Employee Referral schemeBenefits scheme (discounted retailers scheme)Corporate Eyecare Scheme through SpecsaversDirect communication with MD/CEO and staff satisfaction surveysEqual OpportunitiesWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
