Purpose of Role:The purpose of this role is to support an agile, collaborative, and digitally enabled Group Internal Audit team by delivering forward‑looking, data‑driven insights on current and emerging risks.The role of the Internal Audit Assistant Manager strengthens the Group’s control environment by helping to execute the audit plan, leveraging technology and analytics, and ensuring high‑quality documentation and methodology.Working with senior management and cross‑functional teams, the role helps assess risk and opportunity and enhances transparency, while supporting assurance to stakeholders including the Audit Committee, Group Executives, Functional Management, and Business Units

Key Responsibilities: Lead initiatives to foster the Internal Audit team’s agility, collaboration, and digital enablement in delivering insightful forward-looking reports, which address current and emerging risksSupervise auditors in the completion of audit engagements: assessing work, providing coaching notes, performing reviews, reviewing ‘points for discussion'.Assist in managing the delivery of the audit plan by agreeing the audit scope and timing for audits at the beginning of the year and ensuring there are adequate resources to complete the audits.Complete audit engagements by identifying and analysing business processes, key risks and critical controls; determining the audit scope; evaluating control design adequacy; and developing audit programs which provide sufficient guidance for testing control effectiveness and making evaluations that effectively achieve audit objectives.Execute audit fieldwork by performing detailed testing of controls, documenting findings and root causes clearly, and ensuring evidence supports conclusions and drafting high-quality audit reports.Monitor progress of audit engagements against plans and schedules, including making necessary adjustments and promptly completing timely work paper re‐views to ensure all issues are identified and agreed with auditees, prior to issuing draft reports.Assist in the preparation of audit plans and coordinate audit activities, ensuring they address current and emerging risks.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Relevant post qualification experience ideally within a multi-national listed company or company-advisory organization.Proven track record of performing internal audit in a financial or non-financial context. This should include conducting audits individually from planning and developing test programmes to execution and report-writing.Excellent report writing, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to a wide range of audiences.Project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
