    The Vacancy We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Planner to join Wates Construction.You’ll play a key role in developing and managing fully integrated project programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.If you’re passionate about great planning, collaborative working and driving performance through data-led programme control, we’d love to hear from you.About the RoleAs a Planner, you will support one or more projects through all stages of delivery: tender, preconstruction, delivery and close-out, owning the programme and shaping how we plan, track and report performance.Key responsibilities include:Develop fully integrated and resourced programmes in Asta Powerproject, aligned to scope, sequence, constraints and project strategy; maintain regular progress updates and forecasting. Work with the project team to collect site records, track progress and issue clear programme reports in line with company procedures and best practice. Liaise with internal teams and external planners/stakeholders to agree a robust baseline programme prior to works commencing and manage changes through controlled updates. Produce look-aheads, short-term programmes, claim programmes, cause-and-effect studies, labour/resource histograms and recovery plans where required. Contribute to bid planning, methodology, phasing and logistics narratives, offering clear, cost-effective planning solutions at tender stage. Support risk identification and mitigation, carry out basic delay analysis and provide programme intelligence to inform commercial positions. Review problem operations with the Project Manager and feed lessons learned into future planning and estimating. Attend project and planning meetings as needed and ensure all planning deliverables meet our internal operating procedures and quality standards. Promote a safety-first culture, challenge unsafe practice and ensure programme logic reflects safe, buildable methods and sequencing.What we’re looking for in You Solid understanding of project planning and progress reporting across construction. Experience with labour/resource planning, basic delay analysis and construction methodologies from design through commissioning. Commercial awareness with the ability to support on-time, on-budget delivery.Qualifications HNC/Degree in Construction Management, or a related discipline (desired). Planning experience across different construction sectors.Skills Proficient user of Asta Powerproject (essential). Strong MS Office skills (Word and Excel in particular). This role involves delivering high-quality building fabric maintenance across both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.You will carry out a wide variety of carpentry tasks, support small project works, and ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. The role requires someone who can work independently or as part of a team, with strong craftsmanship and attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)Carry out scheduled carpentry and building fabric maintenance. Complete routine compliance checks including: Fire door inspections Fence condition checks Plant room visual checks Water pump visual inspections Weekly fire alarm testing Roof cleaning using SkyVac (training provided) Reactive Maintenance Respond promptly to reactive repair requests, diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently.      About the Role:
    WPS is seeking a skilled and proactive Foot Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our team supporting the IWG contract across multiple London sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality maintenance and reactive services.Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple commercial sites. Diagnose and repair electrical faults and carry out minor installations. Perform general building services tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, and fabric repairs. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.Requirements: 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (essential). Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role with an electrical bias. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
