    Role Overview:Salary up to £35k ( Overtime available)This is a Mon- Fri role 07.30am to 4pmWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of mobile industrial water treatment systems. This hands-on role requires technical expertise in mechanical systems and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
    Key Responsibilities:Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment functionalityPerform refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipmentConduct routine and preventative maintenance tasksCalibrate and validate instruments to maintain accuracy and complianceWork independently or collaboratively with qualified fitters, fabricators, welders, and electricians on larger projectsAdhere to Safety Risk Assessments and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standardsMaintain workplace organization through regular 5S/housekeeping activitiesParticipate in LEAN/KAIZEN continuous improvement initiativesAttend training sessions and team meetingsWilling to work overtime when required
    Qualifications

    Required Skills & Experience:Proven mechanical assembly experienceAbility to read and understand technical drawingsHands-on experience with PVC and stainless-steel pipework, valves, and fittingsPrevious work in an industrial manufacturing or maintenance environment.Strong understanding of EHS and quality compliance requirementsAbility to operate hand and power tools safely and effectivelySelf-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Desirable Skills:MIG and/or TIG welding certification or experienceFamiliarity with water treatment systems

    • Collaborate with account managers and customers to identify technically sound and commercially viable solutions for their sites
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages of execution, coordinating resources to deliver on time and within budget
    • Produce working drawings, sketches and costing sheets, and request quotes from suppliers and third-party installers
    • Support commissioning activities and system implementation at customer locations, attending Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
    • Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and maintain comprehensive project documentation in central cloud storage systems
    • Manage customer satisfaction levels, escalate concerns appropriately, and contribute proactively to ChemFeed Team execution improvements
