    Join the Vitol Claims Team in London as a Junior Claims Analyst, where you will gain hands-on experience in demurrage and shipping claims administration and analysis.This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for recent graduates or individuals with strong A-level results, looking to start a career in shipping and trading.  No prior experience is necessary, relevant education and transferable skills will be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the analysis, preparation, and negotiation of contractual and shipping demurrage/despatch claims, ensuring timely resolution within contractual deadlines.Assist in maintaining accurate records and data within trading systems, contributing to the prudent assessment of claims and related financials.Communicate daily with external partners such as brokers, charterers, and vessel owners, developing strong professional relationships.Undertake general claims administration tasks to support the team’s operations.
    Qualifications

    Recent graduate or strong A-level results, ideally in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Law, Economics, Maritime Studies, or similar).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with colleagues and external partners.Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively, and manage multiple tasks effectively.Proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to take initiative.Good organisational skills and time management.Interest in shipping, trading, or commercial analysis is an advantage.Prior experience or knowledge of shipping, demurrage, or contract law is beneficial but not required.

You’ll be at the heart of our fuel supply chain— managing suppliers, coordinating HGV deliveries to fuel stations primarily in the UK, but also Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, while also ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards.The position requires strong organisational skills to balance delivery scheduling with proactive fleet management, ensuring vehicle compliance, availability, and operational efficiency.Planning and Coordination:Plan, control, and monitor all HGV deliveries and transport activities to fuel stations, considering delivery deadlines, legal driver hours, route optimisation, and priority management and working with international teams in the process.Communication:Maintain continuous communication with transport companies, workshops, and suppliers to ensure smooth operational performance.
