Vision for Education is recruiting a dedicated, compassionate, and reliable ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities), in schools across the Cwmbran area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.About the RoleAs an ALN Teaching Assistant in Cwmbran, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, PMLD, and other complex learning challenges. You will support pupils individually or in small groups, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including PMLD
Assist teachers with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom management
Support pupils’ independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and follow safeguarding procedures
Support personal care needs where requiredRequirementsExperience working with children or young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including PMLD (preferred)
A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
