  As a Store Manager at Vision Express, you're responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. This includes managing your colleagues in store, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and meeting sales targets. You'll also handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  You'll also manage the recruitment for your store with the support of your peers, including your Regional Manager and our Store Support Centre colleagues. You're responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment for your team, ensuring that all employees are trained and supported in their roles as we all play a key part in our mission of helping our customers to 'See More and Be More' by providing tailored and effective eyecare and eyewear solutions, to help customers maximise their visual potential and enhance their lifestyle.

  Assistant Store Manager - Vision Express Lakeside (12 month FTC) Join one of our largest and busiest stores.
  We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our Lakeside store. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader or aspiring Assistant Store Manager ready to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in leading a large team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business performance. You'll be confident managing people, understand HR processes, and know how to use KPIs to improve results.
  What You'll Do
  •Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing colleagues
  •Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions and training
  •Drive sales performance through effective KPI management
  •Support recruitment, performance management and colleague engagement
  •Deliver exceptional customer experiences
  •Maintain high standards of operational excellence and compliance
  •Run the shop floor and lead the store in the Store Manager's absence
  What We're Looking For
  •Previous management or supervisory experience in retail
  •Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  •Experience managing performance and developing teams
  •Good understanding of HR processes
  •Commercial awareness and confidence using KPIs to drive performance
  •Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  •Full flexibility, including weekends and late-night trading
