    Commercial Manager Sub Division: Facilities Management Location: Pen-y-Bont ar Ogwr Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time - hours - Monday to Friday Creating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care… Purpose of Role We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support our Facilities Management contract with the Welsh Government. Job Description The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the delivery and governance of commercial services on a high-volume, low-value project contract (typically under £500k), generally internal fit-outs on Welsh Government-owned sites across Wales. You will regularly review pricing on commercial refurbishments to ensure target costs are met, manage variations, review payments, assess contractual agreements with subcontractors, handle commercial management issues, and engage directly with the end client. This role requires a diligent and professional approach and will be both client- and subcontractor-facing. Responsibilities •Review and manage pricing on commercial refurbishment projects
    • Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts and subcontractor agreements
    • Manage variations, payments, and commercial documentation
    • Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors
    • Monitor project costs and ensure target budgets are met
    • Produce cost reports, forecasts, and updates for senior management Essential Qualifications/Skills • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in commercial projects
    • Strong understanding of Facilities Management contracts
    • Ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and third parties
    • Proficiency in cost management, reporting, and forecasting
