About the role You will be responsible for leading the delivery of optimised supply plans on a weekly basis within the European based Supply Planning function. The key elements of this role are producing and executing supply plans on a weekly basis that meet overall business requirements. This includes liaising directly with suppliers, freight forwarders, operational teams, Commercial Operations functions and key stakeholders to resolve any issues which arise, along with ensuring clear forward visibility to the business of forward supply plans, requirements and imbalances. Key Responsibilities Include: Responsibility for executing supply plans covering inventory holding in excess of £30m GBP for a minimum 7 manufacturing sites in Europe, the Americas and South Africa over 800 PICs Supply Planning: To lead the planning, issue & execution of Operational Model/Supply Plans for the European Supply Planning function on a weekly basis for the agreed planning horizon (currently 20 weeks) Generating bulk, cased goods and works order requirements for relevant packaging sites. Ensuring that plans balance and optimise customer service, inventory levels, operational efficiencies and planning parameters Key stakeholder and supplier liaison: Weekly (or as agreed) liaison with key suppliers and internal functions & stakeholders to ensure supply plans are aligned to latest intelligence and communicated to required. Including: Weekly meetings with the Operations Team to ensure supply, production and scheduling plans are fully aligned to key planning parameters Managing the weekly MPS runs and plan handover to the Operations Teams Weekly (or as required) liaison with key suppliers (internal and 3rd party) to ensure plans are robust and reflect latest intelligence Tactical & Long-Term S&OP: To fully participate and contribute to the weekly and monthly SO&P processes, including: Leading the Exceptions Review Process from a Supply Planning perspective - providing forward visibility of supply & demand positions, highlighting issues and resolving imbalances where possible Providing weekly stock and inventory projections Highlighting and escalating long stocks/life issues via Portfolio/PILM process for action Planning Data: Responsibility for ensuring that all relevant planning data is reviewed, maintained and updated to maintain the integrity of the planning system on a weekly and monthly basis as required. Including: From an Ops model perspective, leading the analysis, problem solving, review and maintenance, as well as continuous improvement of key planning data & associated reporting and actions on a weekly, monthly or as required basis. About the role We are recruiting for a full time Demand Controller to fulfil a 4-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is pivotal in connecting our Commercial and Operational teams, driving a customer-first approach and making a tangible impact on our business. As a Demand Controller, you will act as the crucial link between the UK & EMEA Commercial businesses and Encirc's Production Schedulers, Supply Planning, and Inventory teams. Your key responsibilities will include managing and taking ownership of all Commercial and Demand-driven production plan changes, ensuring alignment with both financial and strategic goals. In this role, youll be responsible for the accuracy of the near-term (3-month) demand plan, working collaboratively with the Demand Planning Team and Customer Relationship/Service Team. Youll also work closely with the Supply Planning Team to identify and communicate significant volume demands that exceed forecasts and fall within lead times. Another critical aspect of the role will involve ensuring visibility of constrained products against the latest demand requirements. You'll actively seek cost-effective solutions to resolve constraints or coordinate customer allocations to minimize overall business impact. This is a 4-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, with an ideal start date in November. Key Responsibilities Include: Attending the weekly Exception Report review, both identifying issues and potential solutions to maximise overall customer service levels and best business outcome Communicating short and mid-term identified issues & availability constraints, working collaboratively with Commercial Sales leads to agree allocation strategies when required. Working collaboratively with Demand Planning Team to provide swift conclusive decision making to customer opportunities and significant promotional uplifts, ensuring existing commitments arent compromised and cost/business impact is minimized. Working collaboratively with Marketing Operation & Demand Planning teams to manage NPD and product change in order to maximise customer availability relevant whilst minimising costs & exposure to the business. Working with Marketing Operations and Commercial Sales leads to manage product exit strategies in order to minimise sku complexity, any obsolescence/SMI exposure and overall working capital implications. Managing the Made To Order BIB process to ensure stock availability in line with customer requirements, whilst balancing stock holding to ensure no risk to shelf life or availability. Responsibility for optimising the UK & EMEASA regions demand fluctuations within supply lead times in order to maximise product availability whilst minimising cost impact to the business. Responsible for daily fulfillment tasks, ensuring smooth order flow through to the warehouse, and working with the Customer service and Credit Control teams to facilitate. Analysing and providing solution recommendations within the 0-12 week supply horizon that minimise service disruption to our customers. Responsibility for optimising the UK & EMEASA regions demand fluctuations within supply lead times in order to maximise product availability whilst minimising cost impact to the business. Responsible for daily fulfillment tasks, ensuring smooth order flow through to the warehouse, and working with the Customer service and Credit Control teams to facilitate. Analysing and providing solution recommendations within the 0-12 week supply horizon that minimise service disruption to our customers.
