    Our surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment and you will be joining a large and experienced team. We are an RCVS accredited practice and are a ISFM Silver Cat Friendly accredited practice. We have advanced surgeries, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound scan, digital X-rays, acupuncture and much more. Our amazing team is made up of 2 Vets, 4 Nurses, 3 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager. About You & the Role We’re seeking an experienced and driven Lead Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about clinical excellence and confident leading within a dynamic, collaborative practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician who enjoys mentoring others, shaping clinical standards, and playing a key role in the strategic development of a progressive first-opinion practice. This role would suit a passionate and enthusiastic vet who likes to deliver gold standard service and care, working to high standards. At Croydon Vets for Pets we pride ourselves on the ability to adapt and take on new ideas as we grow. These ideas could be from internal, external or new additions to the team which makes new staff feel valued and part of the family. This also translates to Vets and nurses alike, having full clinical freedom in their day to day decisions within our practice.Being part of the Vet group allows us to benefit from the support on offer, yet we are able to run and provide the services we wish to provide to our clients and our local community with full clinical freedom. Croydon benefits from direct train links into London Bridge, London Victoria and London Kings Cross in just 15 minutes and the practice has easy access to the M25 and M23, meaning you could drive to Gatwick airport in 30 minutes and Heathrow airport in 45 minutes. We are located next to Waddon train station making in a very easy commute by train, alternatively we are very close to East Croydon train station, with tram links and multiple bus routes. East Croydon station is a very busy station and easy to commute from, with only a 15 minutes train ride away from Gatwick airport.
    Croydon Vets for Pets has an established and friendly team comprising of 5 Vets, 6 RVNs, 1 Practice Manager, 4 Student Nurses and 6 Client Care Advisors. We have three Clinical Directors; Obi, who brings over 25 years of experience, he has a strong interest and extensive expertise in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Luis, who brings 11 years of experience, he has a strong interest in internal medicine with a special interest in oncology. Katie, who has over 10 years of experience in the industry and 6 years of experience as an RVN together they bring valuable leadership and guidance to the whole team. Our practice is very well equipped and the team have onsite access to a range of state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, New Doppler ultrasound with ECG, flexible bronchoscope, rigid rhinoscope and gastroscope, Doppler blood pressure machine and a state of the art multiparameter for monitoring patients either during surgery or the immediate post op period , in-house catalyst machine for biochemistry and Idexx Procyte for haematology amd Sedivu. Croydon treats a real variety of cases including simple and complex orthopaedic cases, has a designated echocardiographer for more complex cardiac cases and the team take great pride in working up cases to an extremely high standard. We actively encourage personal development through CPD and are happy to support study towards certificates for the right individual. There is a bonus scheme in place, which is also a great benefit offered by our three clinical directors. The role is full time however we can consider part time hours, working 3 days a week plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00am - 5:00pm).
