Salary: £33,000–£40,000 per annum (DOE)
Positions available: 1 The opportunity A well-established small animal practice in Barnsley is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Head Nurse to lead its nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident veterinary nurse who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and maintaining high clinical and customer care standards. The Head Nurse will play a central role in supporting, guiding, and developing the nursing team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. The ideal candidate The practice is seeking a candidate with solid clinical experience who is: Confident and self-motivated Approachable, engaging, and supportive Passionate about mentoring and developing RVNs, student nurses, and VCAs Comfortable leading by example and supporting team performance The role includes both clinical and leadership responsibilities, with a strong focus on team development, organisation, and maintaining excellent standards of patient care.
