The Hospital The successful candidate will join a purpose-built 24-hour hospital providing out-of-hours care for the hospital itself and surrounding practices. Facilities include: Digital X-ray, ultrasound, and full-body CT scanner In-house laboratory Three large consulting rooms Two operating theatres Spacious preparation areas Dedicated learning, office, and clinical support spaces The hospital operates a shared clinical software system across practices, ensuring full access to patient histories and excellent case continuity. The Role Working alongside a dedicated night nurse, the Night Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for: Delivering out-of-hours emergency and inpatient care Managing medical and surgical cases overnight Ensuring high standards of clinical, regulatory, and operational compliance Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans Collaborating closely with the wider veterinary and nursing teams Contributing to a supportive, team-based clinical culture The rota is 7 nights on / 14 nights off, offering a highly sustainable and attractive work–life balance.
