    Hydraulic Service Technician / Hydraulic Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer is required to join an established hydraulic fluid power specialist based in Houghton-le-Spring. The successful Hydraulic Service Technician / Hydraulic Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer will undertake the service, repair, installation, commissioning, flushing and testing of hydraulic equipment at customer sites and within the companys workshop. The role will primarily cover the North East, Cumbria, Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Most work is completed locally, although occasional travel and short periods working away from home will be required. The Hydraulic Service Technician / Hydraulic Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems, completing planned maintenance and overhauling hydraulic components. Training can be provided for the appropriate candidate. Package Salary: £38,000 37.5-hour working week Working hours: 7:30am3:30pm Company van with personal use Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate and double time where applicable Additional payments for call-out duties Training and development provided Career progression opportunities Hydraulic Service Technician / Hydraulic Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer Role Undertake on-site troubleshooting, fault finding and repair of hydraulic systems. Complete planned maintenance and overhaul hydraulic equipment and components. Carry out on-site hydraulic installations. Undertake commissioning, flushing and testing of hydraulic equipment. Assemble and function-test hydraulic power units. Complete hydraulic pipework both on-site and within the workshop. Carry out workshop-based hydraulic repairs and equipment overhauls. Attend out-of-hours customer call-outs when required. Work across customer sites throughout the North East, Cumbria, Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Hydraulic Service Technician Requirements Previous experience servicing, maintaining or repairing hydraulic systems and equipment. Experience troubleshooting hydraulic faults in workshop or field-service environments. Knowledge of hydraulic components, power units and associated pipework. Experience completing planned maintenance and component overhauls. A strong mechanical aptitude and practical, hands-on engineering ability. Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota. Flexible regarding overtime and occasional short periods working away from home. Full UK driving licence.
