This role is responsible for producing high-quality suitability letters, financial reports, and supporting documentation to assist advisers in delivering effective financial planning solutions to clients. The successful candidate will work closely with advisers, administrators, clients, and third parties to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of financial planning recommendations. Key Responsibilities Suitability Reports & Business Processing Produce accurate and compliant suitability letters and reports in support of client financial recommendations. Review and analyse information gathered by advisers and ensure all relevant client details are captured accurately. Liaise with advisers, administrators, clients, and third parties to obtain any outstanding information required. Gather and review ceding scheme information from external providers. Maintain accurate client records and update relevant systems following completion of reports and documentation. Work closely with administration teams to ensure smooth processing of client cases. Use established checklists and processes to maintain high standards of quality and compliance. Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities Keep up to date with regulatory changes, industry developments, and internal advice guidance. Ensure all work complies with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards. Identify and escalate any potential compliance or risk issues where required. Maintain awareness of changes to templates, processes, and technical guidance. Practice Support & Development Support the wider team by ensuring processes are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales. Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and procedures. Maintain knowledge of financial planning tools and research systems, such as Analytics and Voyant. Take responsibility for ongoing professional development and maintaining relevant industry knowledge. Attend training sessions, forums, and workshops as appropriate. Client & Team Relationships Maintain a professional and approachable manner when working with colleagues, clients, advisers, and external contacts. Build strong working relationships through effective communication and reliable delivery. Support the delivery of a first-class client experience through accurate and timely work. Candidate Requirements Experience & Qualifications Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA, wealth management, or financial planning environment. Experience producing suitability reports and supporting financial advisers. Experience working within a regulated financial services environment. Ideally hold, or be working towards, a DipPFS qualification (or equivalent), with a desire to progress towards diploma or chartered status. Experience developing and maintaining processes, systems, and procedures would be advantageous. Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office packages.
