In this role you will assist in the manufacture of parts, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved. You will need to be familiar working with materials such as steels, aluminium, and plastics. Job functions include: Setting, Operating and Programming CNC lathes Producing high quality machined parts in accordance with work instructions and drawings Ensuring that all specifications, quality expectations and inspection requirements are understood prior to commencing jobs Self-inspecting work using precision measurement tools including verniers, calipers, gauges, micrometers Providing input to the design process to improve DFM of components Utilising tooling effectively, ensuring that any needs are communicated promptly. Were looking for: An experienced CNC Turner with Programming skills, who is comfortable working to fine tolerances Fanuc experience using Conversational Programming Knowledge of Colchester and Harrison machines would be ideal Familiarity working with a range of materials Experience working with recognised quality systems Familiarity with materials handling Used to working within industry safety standards A self-starter with excellent attention to detail A flexible approach, and able to work calmly under pressure. Hours are 8am to 5pm at the Farnborough site. The company is offering a salary up to £53K depending on experience and relevant qualifications, plus a generous yearly bonus scheme is in place.
