Hours: 40 hours per week | 6:00am – 2:30pm (some flexibility on start times)

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Workshop Manager to lead a busy fleet workshop in Lambeth. This is an off-the-tools managerial role overseeing a skilled team of 9, including 3 supervisors, technicians, and an apprentice.The workshop is well-equipped with 3 service bays with lifts, a smaller bay, and a brake tester, servicing a fleet of RCVs, sweepers, cage vehicles, and gritters Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the workshop team, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to standardHold team members accountable and maintain a strong presence in the workshopMonitor spend, overtime, and third-party costsOversee limited compliance and contract management paperwork, risk assessments, and basic adminEnsure a safe, productive working environment with strong leadership and authoritySupport team development and performance, without being required to complete legal vehicle compliance or service schedules

Requirements
Proven experience managing a workshop or HGV teamStrong leadership and supervisory skillsAbility to hold team members accountable and maintain disciplineGood understanding of workshop operations and municipal fleetsStrong organisational and communication skillsConfident with budget, overtime, and cost management
