With 200 offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world’s leading professional services firm, Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MRSH).A day in the life.As our Sr. Account Manager (or other service role, DOE) on the Energy Commercial Lines team, you'll be primarily responsible for constant customer interaction that is heavily focused on customer service of larger, more complex sized accounts. You will make independent decisions (while working on a team), while adhering to standards, processes and procedures. Day to day duties will include: New and Renewal Business –Works closely with Producers and Marketing Team managing renewal process with creating Pre-renewal presentations, information gathering, preparing submissions, receiving/preparing quotes, updating marketing results and coverage comparisons, bind process, including collecting subjectivities and assist Team Support with surplus lines filings, Certificates and Auto ID card issuanceGeneral Account Management – Binder and Policy tracking, review and delivery, process endorsements, audits, including billing, assist with client requests and maintains client files in appropriate systems.Our future colleague.We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training8-10 or more years of relevant Commercial insurance industry experienceAppropriate insurance license requiredStrong client relations skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, internal teams and market contacts(Ability to utilize leadership skills by providing direction, constructive feedback, development and training while additionally being able to motivate others to maximize productivity and team morale)Excellent communication skills and service oriented, willingness to work with teammate to resolve client and company issueDemonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel, occasionally overnightThese additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:Advanced degreeCertification or designationExperience with Requests for ProposalExperience working on multi-layered accounts, London and Bermuda markets, energy industry, a plus, but not requiredProficiency in use of Sagitta and/or ImageRightWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. With 200 offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world’s leading professional services firm, Marsh (NYSE: MRSH).A day in the life.As our Marketing Analyst on the Business Insurance team you'llAssist the Producer and account teams collecting prospect and client information.Obtain loss runs, preparing loss summaries, and preparing loss history analyses, stratifications, and loss forecasters as requested.Research claims issues as related to loss runs/loss summaries.Obtain, perform analyses of, and/or review experience mod worksheet calculations and relevant information from other analytical and evaluative tools and sources.Quote/rate various online programs for multiple insurance carriers.Support the submission process, including to but not limited to assisting in the development of submissions, creating transmittal communications for sending submissions to carriers.Follow up with carriers to confirm receipt of submissions and assist with obtaining and providing additional information requested by carriers.Compare coverages, terms, and conditions of quotes.Prepare proposals, finance agreements, other presentations, and/or certificates of coverage as requestedBecome proficient with the usage and ability to learn all relevant insurance company rating programs.Creating documents/spreadsheets to assist in marketing of accounts.Document account/computer files per procedures and requirements as requested.Understand NFIP guidelines and requests for policy issuance.Process binder request forms and supporting documentation as requested.Attend and meet with carrier representatives, as requested.Become knowledgeable about insurance carrier products and programs.Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.Assist Producers in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals and participating in prospect meetings as requested.Understand and utilize the client management system(s) and other relevant technology platforms.Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes.Other projects, job duties, and responsibilities as requested by Producers, account teams, and/or management.Our future colleague.We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:High School Diploma or equivalent educationRelevant insurance industry education, training, or experienceAppropriate insurance license(s)Basic insurance knowledge with a strong desire to learn and achieve insurance designations such as Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), INS, Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), (Certified Risk Manager) CRM, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)) or equivalentStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammatesStrong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information and successfully interact with clients, carriers, and teammates.Discretion and analytical skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc.Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel overnightPreferred Qualifications:College degree or equivalent education and/or experienceInsurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license(s)Significant prior insurance industry experience and knowledge of carriers and marketsWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes.
