If the answer is yes, then apply for one of our Band 5 Staff Nurse positions on Daisy Ward.  Within a Trust that has been awarded ‘Good’ by the CQC, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) is one of the most established and cutting-edge Children’s Hospitals in the world.  Daisy ward is a 10 bedded unit including a 6 bedded Neurosurgical, Trauma and Burns High Dependency Unit and a 4 bedded Burns Unit. For Burns we are the regional centre covering the entire south west of the U.K. We are also the regional Paediatric Major Trauma Centre with many of these patients treated on the High Dependency Unit.  Ideal candidates will: Be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills Have the ability to forge and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff. Have the ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on the important issues when decision making is essential.  Clinical · Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care · Communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality with patient’s carers and the multi disciplinary team. Give written and verbal advice/teaching to patients and carers. · Provide accurate timely contemporary records of care and treatment in line with UHBristol & Weston record keeping policy and NMC. · Working within Trust Nursing policies and procedures and professional boundaries undertake all appropriate aspects of Nursing Care required including specific relevant clinical skills gained following appropriate training instruction. · Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients: Administer medicines in accordance with Trust policy. Promote a clean environment and the prevention of hospital acquired infections. · Respond positively and act promptly to resolve problems/issues for patients/carers, utilising complaints procedures and PALs where appropriate. · Assist with the smooth running of the clinical area by carrying out other duties such as unpacking stores, tidying and cleaning up equipment. For people living in BNSSG, there is a 16-year gap in the median age of death for cirrhosis and other diseases of the liver between the most and least deprived areas. This gap is more than double that of the second-largest gap, which is diabetes (a gap of 7 years). BNSSG ICB is working with Alright My Liver (hosted at UHBW) to enhance existing service provision with the aim to reduce the impact of deprivation/healthcare inequalities on liver disease outcomes in BNSSG. The post holder will be integral in supporting the project aims which include  > Reduce the impact of deprivation/healthcare inequalities on liver disease outcomes in BNSSG.  > Access/navigate community support including other healthcare related services.  >Reduce DNA rates in outpatient  To provide project support to the UHBW Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network and BNSSG ICB project. Ward C708 is located on Level 7 of the Bristol Heart Institute and is the main ward for the Cardiac Surgery department within the Specialised Services division. The ward cares for patients requiring cardiac surgery, providing both pre-operative and post-operative care. In addition to the main inpatient beds, the ward incorporates a Day of Surgery Admission Unit, where patients are welcomed, prepared, and supported prior to their surgical procedures. As a Ward Clerk within this unit, you will play a key role in supporting the clinical and multidisciplinary teams by providing efficient clerical and administrative support. NHS@Home is an exciting model of care that bridges the gap between traditional hospital-based care by providing care in people’s home, supported by joint working with system partners and the use of appropriate remote clinical monitoring tools. We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced Nurses to support the coordination and delivery of the NHS@Home service at UHBW.  The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery of the service, case management and supporting in-patient identification. The Bristol Paediatric Simulation Programme (BPSP) and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) are seeking a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Simulation and Paediatric Intensive Care from September 2026. This post is split 50:50 between simulation-based training, teaching and research and clinical duties in PICU and there may be the opportunity to work within the WATCh transport service. The BPSP is a vibrant programme offering simulation courses in the UHBW Simulation Centre (BMSC) and a point of care programme at BRHC and Weston Hospital. The Fellow will be part of a team in the Simulation Centre and the primary learning and development focus of the fellowship is on paediatric simulation education. The PICU is a 18 bedded unit providing full intensive care services to the Southwest of England and cardiac surgical services to the Southwest and South Wales. BRHC is a designated paediatric trauma and burns centre and all specialties other than transplantation operate on site. The post would involve clinical duties on PICU and with the regional transport service WATCh. Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of training in their base specialty (ST3 equivalent) and may come from a Paediatric, Anaesthetic, Intensive Care or Emergency Medicine background. This post is also suitable for more senior doctors who wish to gain intensive care or transport experience. The Bristol Paediatric Simulation Programme is one of the executive arms of UHBW Simulation Services. The BMSC was the first training facility of its kind in the UK. It is based in the UHBW Education Centre, directly opposite the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. It was established as a joint venture between the United Bristol Healthcare NHS Trust and the University of Bristol and was initially funded by the Charitable Trustees for the United Bristol Hospitals, but is now wholly affiliated to University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. It remains unique as one of the most successful clinical simulations centre in the world. The BPSP is committed to enhance patient safety and quality of health care delivery through the integration of multi-disciplinary simulation based education through application of simulation based education in its four strategic pillars; Education, Quality Improvement, Clinical Governance and Research. A carefully created bidirectional relationship between the BPSP and BRHC Clinical Governance pillars (Audit, Clinical Effectiveness Committee, Risk, Patient Safety and Patient Liaison Service) quality assures the SBE delivered by both informing and critically evaluating the educational impact of the BPSP educational content.     Weston Emergency Department are looking to recruit to 3 Clinical Fellow ST1-2 positions, all positions are fixed term for 4 month, commencing 1st April 2026 to 4th August 2026.  This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow ST1-2 to join the team and work in a friendly but fast passed Emergency Department! This is a service provision post working clinically in the Emergency Department at Weston General Hospital, working a full rota with a mix of earlies, middles, lates and nights. The position is open to trainees and non-trainees. For those trainees who already have a UK National Training Number in Emergency Medicine, these posts are eligible for OOPT or OOPE.  You will be joining a forward thinking and dynamic trust. This post is based in Weston-super-Mare at Weston General Hospital which is just 20 miles from Bristol city centre. * Please note this post may close early if a high volume of applications is received. * Clinical: The reception, diagnosis and emergency treatment of patients presenting to the adult Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be given supervision and support from senior medical staff to develop competency in the autonomous clinical management of these patients whilst ensuring patient safety. Managerial: The management responsibility of the post holder will be to the ED Clinical Lead who is responsible to the Clinical Chair, Chief Executive and Trust Board.
     
    Clinical audit and clinical governance: The post holder must be aware of clinical governance and clinical risk management and take an active part in their implementation, including Quality Improvement Projects. Each post holder will participate in at least one supervised QIP during the 12-month post and will be encouraged to attend clinical governance meetings. On-call Commitment: In ED the roster is a full shift system. Shifts are a mix of earlies, middles, lates and nights. The post’s pay will be calculated by HR and will be compliant with the new Junior Doctor’s contract. The Chemotherapy Booking Coordinator role is an essential element of the Administration Team working in the Myrtle Road Offices of the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. As the team deal with a wide range of enquires the Chemotherapy Booking Coordinator role will often link in with the other admin teams which include the clerical officers, clinic coordinators, medical secretaries, nurse specialist support team and MDT coordinators. The Chemotherapy Booking Coordinator team are office based managing the chemo slots for various sites and speaking with patients over the phone. The role includes responsibility for coordinating administrative processes and line managing the Fast Track Coordinators and Cancer Pathway Trackers, ensuring the effective delivery of urgent and cancer pathways. You will work closely with consultants, specialist nurses and wider administrative teams to support service delivery and manage competing priorities. Regular contact with patients, relatives and healthcare professionals is central to the role, requiring clear, professional and compassionate communication. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload and a proactive, flexible approach are essential to supporting a high-quality dermatology service. Support the clinical triage of urgent suspected skin cancer by liaising closely with dermatology consultants, registrars and specialist nurses to ensure referrals are processed accurately and within required timescales. ·Act as a key point of contact for clinical and non-clinical staff regarding urgent dermatology referrals, 2WW appointments and pathway queries. ·Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including dermatology, plastics, oncology, pathology, and cancer services, to support coordinated pathway management and MDT processes. ·Escalate capacity pressures, pathway delays and patient concerns in line with agreed escalation procedures to the line manager or appropriate clinical staff. ·Communicate clinic changes, cancellations and appointment rearrangements to Urgent skin cancer patients, often at short notice, ensuring clear, sensitive and reassuring communication. ·Provide line management and day-to-day supervision of outpatient administrative staff, including Fast Track Coordinators and Cancer Pathway Trackers, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to support urgent services. ·Support recruitment processes, manage annual leave and sickness absence, and conduct appraisals, one-to-one meetings and team briefings in line with Trust policies. ·Monitor staff performance and conduct, maintaining high standards of administrative practice while motivating, supporting and developing team members.
