    Mandarin / English Part-time PhD Tutor (Preferably in Law, Music, Art and Media) – Remote Job Title: Mandarin / English Part-time PhD Tutor (Preferably in Law, Music, Art and Media) – Remote Contract Type: Casual / Self-employed Working Hours: Up to 20 hours per week Location: Remote Salary: £15 - £60 per piece dependent upon assignment Overall Purpose of the Job: Provide one-to-one research proposal tutorial, guiding students to complete their research proposals/essays at PhD level The key tasks include but are not limited to: Giving advice and suggestions on research topic. Coaching and supporting students on research proposals/academic essays. Assisting with the preparation of reading lists and other materials. Acting as a Personal Tutor (providing personalised academic advice to students). Required Knowledge, Skills and Experiences You must be studying towards a PhD degree as a Year 2 student or above; or be a lecturer (Preferably in Law, Music Art and Media). Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Sufficient knowledge of the discipline/topics under discussion. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experiences: · Have a university degree in any discipline. · Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin. · Have excellent sales skills. · Have strong direct marketing skills. · Have a strong sense of market knowledge. · Be able to meet targets and deadlines and work well under pressure. · Have excellent customer service and communication skills. · Be responsible, mature, reliable, and honest. · Be a committed team player but also be dependable enough to work individually with minimum supervision. · Have a proven track record of meeting sales targets. · Have a network or customer base in the local international student community would be a distinct advantage. · The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK.
