Organisation UK Sport Salary £45,000 Location Loughborough, London or Manchester based, with regular remote working. Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 19 April 2026 Interview date 6 May 2026 Job Description Who are UK Sport?
We are the UK’s trusted high-performance experts, powering our greatest athletes, teams, sports and events to achieve positive success. Investing a combination of National Lottery and Government funds, we support our Olympic and Paralympic sports to realise their world-leading potential and help bring major sporting events to the UK. Our purpose is to lead high-performance sport to enable extraordinary moments that enrich lives.

We are on a mission – to create the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments; reaching, inspiring and uniting the nation. That mission is underpinned by three ambitions for UK high-performance sport; to keep winning and win well, to grow a thriving sporting system and to harness those to inspire positive change. Working with the sports and events we fund, DCMS, and our partner organisations across the UK high-performance system, we are building on 25 years of ever-growing success to write the UK’s next chapter for Olympic and Paralympic sport.

    About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Performance People Services team as a Workforce Analyst, helping us to deeply understand and predict our workforce needs. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our high‑performance workforce, delivering meaningful insights that influence recruitment, learning, development and career transitions across the system.

You’ll lead our new workforce audit, manage people data with care and accuracy, and use analytics to help us understand performance, potential and long‑term workforce needs. This is a role that combines technical skill with curiosity, innovation and a desire to improve how people experience work within the performance system.

Who will I be working with?
You’ll work closely with the Workforce & Talent Lead, the Workforce Data Officer (your direct report), performance staff across sports, and partners across the high‑performance system.

    About you
You have experience of understanding and identifying talent needs within a workforce, aligned to Learning & Development offerings and career pathways. You’re someone who enjoys turning data into meaningful stories and using insight to help people and organisations make better workforce decisions. You bring strong attention to detail, curiosity and a creative approach to solving problems, whether that’s exploring new analytical tools, using AI to innovate, or finding clear routes through complexity. You build positive relationships with both technical and nontechnical colleagues, and you’re confident presenting insights in a way that feels accessible and human. You thrive in environments with big ambitions, stay calm when juggling multiple priorities, and care about helping others develop and succeed. You don’t need a background in high-performance sport; what matters most is your ability to analyse, communicate, collaborate and bring a thoughtful, people centred mindset to your work.

As you’ll see from the more detailed Job Description (available at the link below), we are looking for an exceptional candidate who will naturally collaborate with others. In return, we will be there with you every step of the way. Come join us and be part of the heartbeat of high-performance sport in the UK.
